Ex's Missing MatesNumbering precisely 1000, a group of Hereford United fans who expressed their displeasure at the running of the club under Graham Turner by staying away from Edgar Street and vowing not to return until he'd gone. Prior to this all 1000 could regularly be found packed like sardines on the So Called Funbus travelling the length and breadth of the country visiting places such as Gillingham, Carlisle and Grimsby. The refusal of the 1000 to return under David Keyte (presumably as a direct result of the shocking very hands on approach of co Director Tim Russon at the Open Day) undoubtedly led to the untimely demise of Hereford United in 2014 as even the attraction of shite soup was not enough to distract the group from their alternative Saturday afternoon pastimes of garden centres, whist drives and drinking themselves senseless in the Barrels. Hence his ongoing whine that it was all Graham Turner's fault. Curiously the 1000 can now be seen swelling the coffers at Edgar Street, whilst Keyte's/Dishonest Tommy's/Lardsdale's arse licker in chief stays away. M'learned friend might not like this redaction but it is more in keeping with the truth.

Can anyone explain the "6 (six)" six-in-brackets thing?
I've seen it at least 5 or 6 (six) times in the last day or so here.
Didn't spot it anywhere in the 6 (six) pages of comments in this thread.
Thanks!

Max, I find your lack of comprehension disturbing.
FAO of freetownbull - I take it as a whimsical reference to how the old BBC videprinter would spell out certain scores just in case you were in any doubt that Stirling Albion really did stick 20 (Twenty) past hapless Selkirk. But I might be wrong.

YAAAAAWWWWNNNNNN
Standard response when one of the 6 (six) drags up the tired old arguments about HUST/The HFC bennyvestors/Keyte/Agomdale/Munsley on a thread that started out as being about something totally different. The yawn won't stop them rambling on but will demonstrate just how bored the other 18,000 of us are of them!

By someones maths that is 0.001%

To be fair to the 6 (six), there isn't much else for them to get raspy about at the moment.

The 0.000000004%
Arbitrary and spurious proportion of the overall population of HFC supporters that care enough about a given subject to discuss it.
In practice this figure is quoted when an argument is offered for which one has no sensible counter argument , primarily as an avoidance tactic, in order to derail the thread and prevent further discourse on a topic with which one feels uncomfortable.

I'm sure if someone can come up with accurate definitions of your favourite new terms that they will get added to the glossary forthwith.
The Duke is out there somewhere - but not at Edgar Rd.

"Winning the League by Christmas" A myth in football terms used to respond in replying to over excitable rival fans. ( Only ever became reality once ...... Shrewsburys 17/18 League 1 season)
