And so he should be. We all 11th in the table. Play-offs out of our reach. Tin-pot spoilers Tamworth running away with the league. On laughable gates. They will be back down with a bullet next season but fair play to them. With 3 of our ex-players. Jamie Willets we should have persuaded to stay. Not sure on the other two but they have proved their worth. If we cannot compete with Tamworth, Chorley, South Shields, Brackley there is something wrong here. I'm sure Chester fans would agree with this. We need to up the ante big time. Is this the same club? Prove it. Get out of this terrible league. The fans have bought into it, massively higher attendances that the old club had at times in the football league. Hereford FC - prove you are worth the backing

And according to Hereford & Worcester radio before the game today Buxton are going full time next season on average crowds of 600.

Heard that, says it all. 600 though is the number of minutes per year the town gets bathed in sunlight. Bitter? Me? Not one fan of Hereford United or Hereford FC or whatever you call the club should lie back and accept our failure to compete woth sides that couldnt drum up 3,000 fans if they were playing Man City.
The fans have backed the club. The team and management have let us down

Caddis has been a breath of fresh air with his honesty and integrity and, while not every signing has worked out, it's been by far our most enjoyable season since we got promoted to National League North.

Financial Fair Play doesn't seem to be a thing at this level. Which beggars the question, why is it a thing anyway?

He's entitled to sound down - the outside chance we had of reaching the playoffs has all but gone.
Some mildly pointed comments regarding signing players for next season and the budget available. Over 3000 fans today should surely help?

Of course he is entitled to sound down. He has failed.

Talk about fickle fans! One minute you're singing his praises as if he's the next messiah and now blasting him for ineptitude, bad decisions, wrong choices and anything else you can sling at him. For Heaven's sake, it's his first attempt at management at a level he is totally unfamiliar with and yet has brought more hope and entertainment value to Edgar Street than we've had for years. The increase in attendances proves that. He wasn't on the pitch today so not responsible for the lacklustre performances of the players and if Howkins hadn't decided to score a goal the wrong end we probably would have gained all three points. Of course we are disappointed but probably so are Tamworth fans, down to ten men and losing 3-0. It's obvious there are a few players who leave a lot to desire but all in all I believe PC has done a pretty good job of pulling the club out of the doldrums.

Of course he is entitled to sound down. He has failed. Failed? He's failed to get us promoted, almost certainly, but failed failed? Not for me Tony, not at all. More points, more entertainment, and crucially, many more bums on seats has to be deemed, even by the harshest critic, as progress. For a rookie manager, and one wholly unfamilar with this division as a player, and with a (completely new) squad of players on a lot less money, apparently, than last season(s), I think he's doing a pretty good job. Probably sounds a bit down because he knows our chance has gone, largely through our own carelessness. Mr Caddis has shown many good qualities, and if learning on the job proves to be another one, we should see progress again - he now knows this division, and come July, he won't, like last year, be starting from scratch. He should also, given those extra bums on seats, have a better budget.

I'm not blasting him, just stating it is likely he has failed to get us into the playoffs. He is a winner. He wont like it. His target wouldve been playoffs.

Luck would have meant being comfortable in play offs, dropping points to visibly poorer teams cost us 7th place.

Luck would have meant being comfortable in play offs, dropping points to visibly poorer teams cost us 7th place. Only because luck went against him in the earlier part of the season - had we had a full team out for most games, we would now be in a very comfortable playoff position. Luck played a major part in all this.

Oh sorry, I missed the chart showing all those points won with compared to without Cowley/Willo in the 11, bearing in mind he is not even using Cowley/Willo currently and the one showing all other teams above have not had players out injured.

Luck would have meant being comfortable in play offs, dropping points to visibly poorer teams cost us 7th place. The ‘better’ side doesn’t always win, that’s football. Would offer that we need to improve in that we drop fewer points in this manner, and also offer that Paul Caddis would have this at or near the top of his to do list. Also, we have, and there’s no getting away from this, been unlucky with injuries.

We don't need stats or charts or whatever. Football is all about confidence - if we could have kept the majority of our team fit for most of the season we would be in a far better position than we are in now. As you know, and you don't seem to have appreciated, we have been extremely unlucky with injuries this season and I haven't got a clue how you legislate for that - that's what the manager is paid to do of course - and what a job he has done!

Where is the condemnation of the selection of Phillips yesterday?

Where is the condemnation of the selection of Phillips yesterday? It was a poor selection. He's a long way off what Cowley offers. Would you like a medal? A T-shirt? A Sybil Fawlty Specialist Subject Gold Clock?
