Doing well this evening, booked for playing the ball. Doing well ‘for a lad who can’t defend to save ..’ Ah can’t be bothered.

They played 6-4-0, yes? I guess Sam worked out he 5 needed (five) colleagues. Still no goals or assists. Poor.

You might think that... Can't really blame him for Sawyers playing a blind backpass to a goalkeeper who was too busy leaning against the goalpost, having a fag and chatting to a passer-by, to do anything about it. No point playing a blanket defence if one, some or all of them can't defend. Cannon fodder.

I wouldn't worry about it; this season will be "expunged" long before we get to Kenny Burns' Night.

What we were being asked to consider regarding Mr O'Shea by the likes of two members of staff was his place in the pantheon. One asked me if I was surprised about his progress! Well, imagine all of our astonishment when, feck me, he turned out for his parent club! Wow! Now, what an honour it must have been that he was representing the (then) pub outfit at Edgar Street. (He was only ever a loanee at Edgar Street - sent there to build his confidence - well, it would, wouldn't it, really?) He seemed to play anywhere across the back four. Ok, well, not a good sign but you could probably get away with it at that level if you have any pretensions. So far, so unexciting.... Emery and Price played at the top level after Hereford United. Ian Bray, close to it. Was O'Shea anywhere near any of those at the same age? No. Now Tony Byrne. He came from Southampton and represented O'Shea's lot - Eire. The late Tony (Har your balls hangin' hout of your trousers) Byrne - a very personable gentleman - never cut the mustard at Edgar Street in the old Second and Third Division days. He couldn't oust the superior Steve Ritchie from the team I could probably get in that Eire team now the piles are well and truly sorted. The Ego. Gertrude here, evening all. Not much on telly, so, er, young Dara.. I recall your assessment of this player was pretty uncomplimentary when on loan to a tier eight pub team (not my words) from a then Championship club. And subsequently doubling down to ' the lad can't defend to save his ass'. He's now a regular Premiership starter and a full international. That you seek to bolster your argument (the final four paragraphs above) with irrelevance, well, hmmm. Not really answering the question, but it isn't a new thing, is it? Whether WBA, or Ireland are also pub teams, or Price and Emery were vastly superior are for sure, topics to debate, but were not the question. Well you can have another go. Did you think, back in the days of him being sent off at Wealdstone, that Dara would get anywhere remotely near the level he has reached? PS. There really is no shame in admitting that you got one slightly wrong. FFS, I once upon a time, strongly suggested that Quentin Townsend was the answer to all of our defensive problems. Edit. Gonna regret this, I know it. It's probably a bigger achievement getting in the Three Cities Skittles team than representing Eire.

You can't really blame Dara for tonight's debacle. Now Big Sam's in charge his instructions for the game would have been "every time you get the ball hoof it as far as you possibly can". With a dinosaur like that in charge the Baggies have no chance of staying up.

To be fair he’s just come up against the best attacking side the Premier League has witnessed.
Imagine if Leeds were playing in the yellow away strip.

Sam's so fed up with O'Shea now, he's actually asked for a break.

Think Dara should ask for a move in the window - career going backwards since Allardyce was appointed to ‘sort things out’
Be lucky to make the Dog and Duck skittles team, let alone the National football one.

Probably is if you’re from the only real skittling city in that lot. The other two must have quotas.

Albion only conceded two today with the Eire international absent. He comes on and doesn't take a penalty. Evidence is stacking up.
