We know you're no stranger to scouting the playing fields, if not of Eton, the ones in Essex and environs. So, yes, your assessment of players and club owners alike is greatly respected. Take the highly egregious Tommy Agombar, for example: "He seems a pretty decent bloke." Back on the Ad Homs again wain, is that the best you've got? Really? Seriously doubt that anyone cares, even in your little fan club, but to refresh your memory, the Agombar piece (I was one of three who wrote it), concluded with - 'He can certainly talk the talk, time will tell if he can walk the walk.' I've written plenty of things that I don't look back on particularly fondly, but that isn't one of them. Also, I actually don't understand your opening line, how offended should I be? Might have to play with someone else if you don't up your game a bit. But they do care, you see? That's why they write to me as a result of my tribulations with the board. I didn't know about your Tommy encomium till Saturday? We've all been on the end of the Ad Homs (as you call them.) Just had another one, myself I see - someone calling him or herself Lunchtime Drinker. It's just that we have to let them go.....because we're on our own in that regard..... |

On the subject of big club loanees, Rhys Williams who has started for Liverpool tonight was at Kiddie last season. These big clubs don't normally loan their prospects so low do they? Not the ones who threaten the starting line ups. It looks like he has only started a couple of games and Liverpools central defenders are all screwed aren't they?
Anyone remember him at Kiddie?

Sean Lane I remember a bit but I can't remember too much about him but know he was a tidy young player, I was only a kid - not grown up like now. Overson? Remember the name. Sean Lane is worth a google. Interesting career. |
