The way it’s going our children’s children’s children will still be waiting for promotion ….

That’s optimistic. However we may have new floodlights this season. However the injury situation is a lot to do with it. Three key players out plus a young promising player. That’s 20% of the squad. in the short term we need an experienced midfield general, plus a striker. Surely time to loan out a couple of ours to create space for a newcomer or two. Derricott needs to be playing games and Texeira if not considered good enough to start. Probably one of the wide players as well because they never seem to get a whole game no matter what and they are not game changers.

Been pretty disappointed with Matwasa so far, completely ineffective. Got the Koby Arthurs about him.

In terms of results, our most disappointing and unprofessional. Something for the learning curve. However, the positive is we can concentrate on the league.

Watching the welsh football league Mendes showing what we are missing. Raeffel still finding the net.

We're nowhere near good enough to challenge for the title and even if we did make the play offs they're a lottery where one bad game can undo a season's work. There's no reason why a club can't do both, you can make the play offs and have a cup run if you have a winning mentality. Sadly Caddis's teams so far simply don't have that and the loss of potential cup money means we probably lack the funds to improve the squad now.

Which takes us back to the question of how do clubs with gates of 800 manage to get to the play offs ? Are they all bank-rolled by benefactors ?

You're only 3 points off 2nd.
With a better goal difference.

Very disappointing. We love the FA Cup in Hereford and a good run with a potential TV game would have raised the funds to mount a serious attempt on promotion, albeit via the play offs. As ever Caddis talks a good game but it doesn't transfer to results on the pitch. For the first time I'm starting to doubt his commitment. Does he really care? Strange attack on Caddis? Question his abilities and experience maybe but surely not his commitment?

Maybe commitment's the wrong word, I just think that any manager in it for the long term would move to the Herefordshire area and live amongst the fans of the club to build up an affinity with the community. As far as I'm aware Caddis still lives in the Blackpool area, which suggests he doesn't expect to be here for long. Remember how Gowling was criticised for continuing to live in Grimsby when he was our manager? Secondly I don't think he took yesterday's tie seriously enough. Bishop's Stortford finished bottom of the league last season and we did the double over then so you have to say yesterday's game should have been a comfortable away win. The fact we lost suggests they wanted it more than we did, which simply isn't acceptable.

I can't see that, on this one result, anybody can really question the commitment of Caddis, unless the poster just likes to get a reaction. Shirley not?
Anyway, in keeping with the subtext of some posts in this thread, think this of Caddis:
He'll take you up, He'll bring you down. He'll plant your feet back firmly on the ground. He flies so high, He swoops so low. He knows exactly which way he's gonna go

Moving house is a bit of a red herring IMO. A house move is an expensive operation to undertake unless your employer is funding it.
Also, I don't recall John Charles moving to Hereford...or most of his players.
Did Bob Dennison ever live in the Shire?

Yes, by the Starting Gate, about 400 yards from where I'm typing this.

Until there is a Caddis Close*, we’ve every right to ask the question.

Stockport fans were similarly vexed by the length of their stay in NLN. Upward movement only took place for them when a money supply arrived with new ownership. So far PC has kept us well interested with the play off positions which Richards/Harris, Slade and Gowling all conspicuously failed on. Further PC credit due for doing it when the others had taken us from half a million £s in the bank to £5k. PC deserves a lot of credit for the progress we have made from April 2023 as does Ammonds.
