Greetings all, Stortford fan here in peace!
Looking forward to playing you Saturday, you probably and understandably not so keen?
Wishing all who travel a safe journey to our humble abode in Hertfordshire. (Though one goal is in Essex and the other in Hertfordshire).
Any idea of approximate numbers travelling.....no segregation announced/planned as of yet so assume not many?
Please make the effort and make the journey, the more the merrier as we desperately need a striker so the revenue would be most welcome!
Happy to provide details of watering hole with scoff if needed.
Best Wishes

Went to your place last season when you were nobbled and made to play teams near Scotland rather than just down the road in London.
You have a good set up. Cracking scran. I still get reminded that I spent most of the match in the queue for it at various stages.

Ah yes, the joys of the ''Inverness Caledonian Where the **ck is that League.''
Not the 1st time we've been shafted by the FA and stuck there so it's a good job we're not bitter!
As you say the food at our place has gone up a notch over the last few years but the bar service has definitely gone south, unlike our team unfortunately. It's tendered out to one of the local bars but they employ monkeys/students who refuse to actually earn their £3.50 an hour by serving the clientele
If helpful and just down the road from the club serving superb beers, nee 10 minute walk is....https://thebelgianbrewer.co.uk/
Or directly over the road from the Belgian Brewer for good value scoff is...https://www.chickenandgrillpubs.co.uk/nags_head/
Kind words re our set up, we think it's a tidy ground, covered terracing behind both goals, the archetypal old style footie ground....not as grand as the curved terrace at your place mind which I love.
Hope all have a safe journey.

I don't think we will bring all that many sorry. We have always gone against the grain and supported the FA Cup more enthusiastically than most.
We would I imagine take about 150 on Saturday. It's proximity to London will help as our London contingent will make up a good chunk of that.

Invasion fixture for the that London Village People, provisional meet at the unusual (in a good way) Nags Head.
Many worse set-ups than BS around tier 6/7. And 5, if memory serves.

My Bishop's dwelling pal has never mentioned this place, so we end up in some faceless identikit pub, so this will be great. Followed by a burger at your place and I'll be very happy. Which may be useful if we come away down and out.

What could possibly go wrong? 😃

9.5% ale. What could possibly go wrong? 😃 Had my eye on the quadruppel. A few of them and I won't see what's going on on the pitch let alone remember it.

Certainly let himself down on Saturday. Probably not wise to have joined the exodus to Radfords at 3.27pm

Farriers. Brewed at Norton Canon. 15% ABV. Staple of the Barrels Beer Festival for many years but always gave it a swerve. Stupid Hancock of a mate decided to down a half pint of the stuff one year. That ended well.

If frequenting the Belgian Brewer, I recommend getting a Growler.
Us blokes love an old Growler 😉

FFS I was going to bring my nan. She loves the FA Cup, she has spent the last week making the trophy out of tin foil and cardboard.

Us blokes love an old Growler 😉 I seem to recall, from my much, much younger days, that it's beers like the aforementioned 9.5% and 15% that are to blame for that moment when you realise that you've woken up next to one. Nowadays, when I wake up, I don't notice anything; I'm far too busy putting a tick in that box marked "Made it through another night".

Needless to say I’ll be advancing north over the Dartford Crossing to arrive in time for grub. As I’m driving, I’ll likely be on the Guinness Zero.
