Amazeballs. Massive , more at eye level,very bright, screen that changes giving appearance of flashing. Their fine on the side of the road. I think in this weather it will probably be more distracting to drive down Monkini Tennis' road. |

I appreciate you were all stoned in the 1960s but there is clearly a H&S issue there. Versus Cardiff on 4 February 1976 - the (in)famous game when their lot were on the roof of the ME dangling their DMs over the edge. (Also the night when our yoof were firing arrows at their coaches on the Belmont roundabout - check your Hereford history.)
Me, and a still anonymous mate, decided to roll a few Blue Peters* and jokingly said, "We'll have one on the way to the ground, one at half-time, and one each time we score."
I think we were about three up by half-time and went on to win 4-1. We were still slumped in the dark at the top of the ME when they switched the floodlights off. (Thread relevance.) An hour or so later (probably about 11.30) we managed to smuggle ourselves out of the ground.
The return match, midweek in April, was played in front of 35,000 - still a 3rd tier record?
NB young'uns. Unlike a six foot seven lecturer at Cambridge University, what we did was not big or clever. Just say no.
*Blue Peter - one I made earlier.
Was this when we used to employ some SAS as stewards. Numpty,s from Cardiff thought they could invade the meadow end by coming across the pitch only to end up nose in the turf and crying like babies. |

Well, if they weren't concentrating on floodlights perhaps we'd get to see some football on a Saturday afternoon.
Season tickets are certainly not a good deal from that point of view.
