You may be interested to know that a senior member of our think tank wrote to Mr Caddis at the start of the season to wish him luck and suggested that he 1) kick towards the Meadow End first half to (hopefully) get a lead and thus eliminate opposition time-wasting and 2) try to do something about the situation where away fans are not directly behind the one linesman. (This caused the ruling out of Cowley's goal on Tuesday but we got the "adjuster" in front of the Meadow End when the referee knew about the mistake.) This service provided for the club in August. Surprised that none of you knew that Kenny Lunt put Texeira up at lakeside. Where does your friend suggest putting said away fans? I believe that the handedness of linesman is set for them to be on the defending team left back side at level 3 and above. I am surprised you never knew that.

When you are appraising the merits of Skinner who will comfortably win Player of the Season you may wish to consider the legacy of Chris Price who played 330 times for Hereford United (who also played at Edgar Street) scoring 27 goals from his position at right back. Now ask yourself how many times he played in the company of three centre backs?
I'll give you a clue: it was less than once.

Yes Chrissy Price - I have to say that Lewis Hudson has the potential to be as good if not better

Chester manager and his "farmer giles" accent was fairly amusing to be honest. He was happy to get a point..so was I after that 1st half Much relived to know that Chester were never wasting time.

We are presumably not under any obligation to give away fans a standing area so why not stick them all up in the stand a la Newcastle at St James's.

Most away fans like to view from behind the goal. Guessing ww would be happy if they were allocated top floor of Waitrose carpark.

Their manager said he would expect an apology from the ref for the penalty. I assume he did not see the ref call number 10 across to him before the corner was taken and warn him what would happen if he continued playing the way he was. Number 10 obviously thought either he had the ref in his pocket or that the ref was all talk. The manager also didn’t see any time wasting. I timed one goal kick on the big screen clock and from the time the keeper pick the ball up until he kicked was 42 seconds after being warned by the ref.

I think the meadow end choir are the most reliable timekeepers for any wasting time.

Surely the only time it is a problem is when there is a decent away following? The seats are right above the linesman also. If an away team wanted to bring over 300, the sort of fans that would be "up for it", would we just limit their support? Hereford fans harass the other linesman all game also.

I remember the Oxford fans getting Tim Sills sent off a few minutes after he'd come on.

Just seen the Cowley "goal", doesn't look obviously offside, but not a great camera angle in fairness. The flag went straight up though.

Re time wasting.
One simple fix would be to require goal kicks to betaken from the side of the pitch from which the ball exited-always used to be the case as far as I can recall. In addition, an indirect kick for the attacking team if the keeper delays taking for more than, say, 15 seconds.
