Ceesay causes problems, distractions, takes the pressure off for awhile. Has the physicality, confidence, takes people on, is not scared to lose the ball in the opponents half but at least we're in the right half. Skinner (or others) have their own qualities but cannot replicate that, and therefore the team struggles unless others find some magic of their own, which unfortunately they are not currently. Remember many were stating that things would only get better once we had Cowley & Willo on the pitch, well only if 1 or both perform to their best. Cowley not actually getting the passes he was thriving on and is probably trying to hard in the wrong places.

Yes, utter dross. We know Chester are a passing team, so we surrender midfield before the kick-off. Given that the Bala Two now start 4 match and 2 match suspensions that tells you pretty much what Caddis thinks of Kouhyar, not starting with him last night. Probably never seen him play. You know full well the season has fizzled out. As for the local "media" the public would have a bit more time for them if they occasionally tell it as it is. We're always the aggrieved party, aren't we? Texeira has been booked ten times this season for gobbing off and Mendes has been sent off 5 minutes before the end of a game we were winning and 5 minutes after a game finished. I am a big fan of Andy Williams, always have been and I hope things get better for him. Unfortunately, the blueprint remains the 5-2 from 17 days ago when Cowley played centrally up front on his own to start. There is no sign whatsoever that that was ever going to be a "comfy" home win. The team was organised extremely badly. Wish you would go back to talking bollocks. He is. Tex came from Alvechurch. š

Far from perfect, but āutter drossā? Some folk seem to like embarrassing themselves. Repeatedly. Swap ākeepers (sorry Pondy, youāll be back) and thatās a comfy home win. Willo off it, but heāll also be back, and plenty of spirit out there. Also, how has the season āfizzled outā when weāre three points off the play-offs with 12 matches to go? Mendes easily MoM for me. Will be missed. We need 2 points per match for the rest of the season to scrape into the play-offs. We currently average 1.5. To few goals scored, too many conceded. Fizzling out looks accurate.

How do you figure that out? We just need one more point than the team in 8th. Obviously you can hazard a guess based on previous seasons but only a Hereford fan could give up on the season when we're 3 off the playoffs with a quarter of the season still to play.

That's fine, I can't and won't, unlike some, pretend to know what you're feeling better than you do. For me however, there is plenty left to play for. Getting that seventh spot will be a challenge, I certainly won't be putting my house on it, but while we're only too aware of our own issues currently, I suspect none of has sufficient an insight into injuries/suspensions/form at the other 9-10 sides scrapping with us to confidently write-off the season today.

Brilliant finish from Cowley ruled out for offside ,highly debatable decision according to Chester forum . Williams very fortunate with the penalty and should have done better with first half chance from the centre of the box.In truth he has not had a lot of minutes but last night he looked way off the pace as a result of 2 starts maybe. Sadly because of injury we have been unable to get our best 11 on the pitch so far and with 12 games left Iām not convinced we will. This current situation brings into question the audacious gamble by Caddis of signing key players with undoubted quality but also a history of repeated injury. No doubt he will be all over this as it will be a major factor in the play off push and prominent in his squad building consideration for next season. One thing for sure regardless of play off Caddis has brought passion, hunger and exciting football to Edgar Street and we will be stronger next season.

Agree with Robin Friday. The one thing that is apparent to me is Tamworth are extremely good at what they do as horrible as it is. The rest from 2nd to 12th arenāt whether they have a nice style of football or not. But our games have had plenty of excitement which is such an improvement on last 3 seasons.

Let's say our season ends below the play off dotted line. Or we are unsuccessful in the play offs.
Would one danger be that we lose better players that we want to keep? Happens most years to most clubs.

Chester forum are correct. Until Wayne has given his ruling on it, let's not speculate.

Happens most years to most clubs. If the players aren't good enought to get us in the play offs theres no point keeping them! Or we could keep 8 better players, and sign 8 more that are an upgrade on the 8 we release? Keeping the continuity going whilst incrementally improving the squad, something until recently that the manager had nailed. Pugh going has hurt us. Everything that could go wrong since that moment seems to have. Caddis will do everything to get us in them play offs.

Chester forum are correct. Until Wayne has given his ruling on it, let's not speculate. Assuming he had not already left. Doubt his heated cushioned seat is best placed for offside opinions. All the same I will look forward to knowing.

In my opinion I think we are where we probably didnāt expect to be. A new rookie manager who has and will continue to make mistakes but the best are the ones who learn from them. We are 3 points off play offs with 12 remaining games. If you asked me in April when Caddis was appointed Iād have taken your hand off for a relatively stable season away from the drop and a brand of football that has excited me. I believe the players have provided exactly that.
The players clearly love working under the manager and in front of us supporters because I have never left Edgar street this season in particular and thought there was a lack of effort compared to last season when I walked away on numerous occasions thinking we lacked effort. Letās continue to be positive and show support to the players and staff and help us achieve what we wouldnāt have expected this season. Iām full of positivity and encouragement and I feel most supporters are. Everyone has their opinion and thatās why we love football.
As for now Iām pleased , as pleased as I have been for the past 4 years because I genuinely feel like Iām supporting my club again full of hope and excitement and most importantly Iām enjoying the games with my kids left smiling. I trust this manager and his staff and players to pick the best lineup , players , formations and tactics as I am not one to judge having only ever watched football and played at a lower level. I have no idea of injuries or issues or anything that Caddis and his management team may face on a daily basis so whatever team he picks I get behind. Last night for example I would have preferred lyden to play but Caddis knows best and clearly Lyden isnāt at the levels that Caddis and the staff need him at. Players main source of income come from other walks of life with us being part time (Williams working from an accountancy in town as an example) so there may be issues with work and tiredness and whatever impact that has on the ability to play with the intensity Caddis expects.
In summary I am really enjoying Edgar street again and the improvement on and off the pitch have been significant and about time to be truthful. Well done to all and letās see where we are in 2 weeks time after a tricky trio of away games.

Chester manager and his "farmer giles" accent was fairly amusing to be honest. He was happy to get a point..so was I after that 1st half

You may be interested to know that a senior member of our think tank wrote to Mr Caddis at the start of the season to wish him luck and suggested that he
1) kick towards the Meadow End first half to (hopefully) get a lead and thus eliminate opposition time-wasting and 2) try to do something about the situation where away fans are not directly behind the one linesman. (This caused the ruling out of Cowley's goal on Tuesday but we got the "adjuster" in front of the Meadow End when the referee knew about the mistake.)
This service provided for the club in August. Surprised that none of you knew that Kenny Lunt put Texeira up at lakeside.
