I tend to think that we are asking the wrong question. Perhaps we should be asking whether Hereford FC deserve the name Hereford United rather than if and when it is going to happen. At their peak United played four leagues higher and played in the Football League for about 30 years. I could go on. But hey, that's just me. I actually think the same sometimes so I get your point. Especially when we play the likes of Gloucester and Rushall Olympic now with hardly any away support when growing up it was Cheltenham and Walsall for example, and it was professional football. Of course many things are the same and we are still Hereford after all (and I am still a season ticket holder now 20 years on when from when I first got one as a 9 year old), but it does almost feel like a different club and a different lifetime because of the fact that when it was Hereford United, it was higher level football. ' For me though, it will always be Hereford United in my own mind. It sounds so much better and Hereford 'FC' almost sounds a bit 'non league', so I would still change it back if I had the choice. I understand the costs etc., but it's also positive PR and a good marketing opportunity and i'm sure there are ways at looking to help fund the costs. P.S. I know there's talk that we can't afford to go up, but I for one can't wait to get out of this awful league. I used to hate being in the Conference Premier and think that was awful, but I would love just to be back in that league now!

Lots of calls for it to come back yesterday but whether anybody was taking note I don’t know. If it happens then it should not be next week. We need to have a timeline, say 2026. No change of kit until then run down stocks in the shop on all products only re-order what we can sell and in small quantities. Hereford fc items become collectible items. Items such as paperwork and signage would have to be funded. Restock shop for a bumper sell out for the start of 2026. I don’t care either way I will still stand in my spot and watch what ever the team is called. HUFC from the cider country.

Would be quite a boost for the Tamworth game if it could be done this week.

There was once an annoying wee prat that took a rattle to Richards Castle games. Soon boggered off to United matches.
That were me.

Bring back United.

The Poll would seem to disagree with the last three posts. The percentage in favour of reverting to United continues to grow. Currently in excess of 76%.

Let's be honest, whenever you're away on holiday or whatever and get chatting to someone in a bar and they ask you what team you support you say Hereford United, don't you?
You might qualify it by saying that these days we're known as Hereford FC but you still think of us as Hereford United. I know I do

It wouldn't be a 'return' to HUFC.
You would be appropriating my dead club.
