The most important thing to remember is that football should NOT , under any circumstances, be fun for kids to play. They have to realise that they are responsible for providing middle-aged men in cheap suits with money. They should be grateful that HFC aren't sending them down coalmines.

But it’s all in hand, statement being prepared. Although give yourself plenty of time to read it, this has been a long time in the editors office.
As opposed to the twenty minutes it took to tell us that Munsley was nothing to do with any of us guv.

A cynic would suggest HFC should be busy shopping for a bigger carpet, under which to try and sweep this latest spectacular mess. The way it's going, it'll be a hill visible from the ISS.
By comparison, Munsley Mount is barely a molehill under the desk of the Club Secretary.

Personally, I'd suggest that any parent who is willing to allow their child to be referred to in language more befitting a cheese, should probably have a word with themselves.

The latest in a long line of shocking decisions by HFC. Our board seems to have turned the betrayal of the community club ethos into a fine art. Graham needs to come up with more than platitudes on this one. It’s evident they got rid of UITC purely out of spite, without a thought in the world about how financially viable the replacement would be. So now it seems we have a MacFootball Academy where profit is the bottom line and the formative football experiences of our young kids hardly merits consideration. Take a bow all concerned.

On the page for the Herefordshire RTC (Regional Talent Centre): "Our RTC can truly be a great pathway to many local Professional clubs with links currently being forged by the JPL team to maximise the opportunities for our players".
So not just a pathway to Hereford FC then?

True.
A host of dedicated and hard-working people turned UITC from the basket-case it clearly was under Keyte into a decent, thriving, properly run organisation. HFC then pulled the rug from under them as Som says, for no other reason it appeared, than pure spite. Little empire builders destroyed something painstakingly rebuilt, and turned it into this sh1tshow.
Great work Ken, George, Doddsy and the rest, just brilliant. Hope you’re very proud of yourselves.

So not just a pathway to Hereford FC then? Logically the younger teams play in or near Bristol to enable the local professional clubs to cherry pick the best talent and get them in early. Once these lads get to Secondary school age, the better ones have gone. No great loss in keeping them closer to home. Likely that the “best of the rest” may eventually step up to men’s football. But not via an “academy” in the true sense of the word.

Is that the fella who used to run the "Unofficial" Supporters Club, backed the minicrims and took the p155 out of the demonstrators at the St Neot's game? If so he was seriously lucky to walk away intact that afternoon.

So much sense being written on this thread.
This is what this forum is all about, flagging what needs to be addressed and getting it out there.
From the outside with only the information available this does not fit in with the community club ethos nor HFC having a pathway to develop young players to sell on. Only looks like the club making some sort of money out of the clubs “brand”. Reminds me of the catering contract in the first couple of seasons.
As for general academy set ups, the number of kids dropping out of the game is a crime.

It is not the same chap. Early days I know, but already wondering whether the one you mention might be every bit as good as the current chairman. I see on BN that an academy coaching schedule for the week has been released, but still no mention of whether the Yate stories are FACT, or just mischief-making, you think they'd somehow find a moment to confirm. Unless they're finding it a bit tricky, staff wise at the moment.

In respect of Munsley, the embodiment of all things Hereford FC, doesn't it strike you as strange that if he wasn't who we know he is then that person would probably have come forward by now? A sort of Spartacus in reverse.

Here is confirmation on the plans for the coming season. This has come from the email sent from Martin Watson when I asked for information regarding trials etc. ![](//storage.proboards.com/6317644/thumbnailer/nsXKJlnXnCqdtyQRpDxC.png)

FACT/fact then.
The club is sending U9 and U10 sides to play football 60 miles away. And St Weonards, how handy is that for anyone north of the river?
Did someone say it's all about the money?

That club has completely lost its soul. The little chap who handed me my season ticket this morning didn't exactly do so with any great empathy for the situation. Might even have expected a fixture list? Nothing.

I just cant think of any logical reason as to why you would play games in Yate. Why not Abergavenny or Ludlow if its seen as impossible to play in Herefordshire. I'm just confused as to the reasoning in all of this. It just doesn't seem to make any sense.

It's the same reason Symons is still playing.
