Well, that would be a shame as I believe it's important to retain connections with all local clubs at Herefordshire Premier and above. Does anyone have any up to date information on that partnership? If what I heard is right then game over. Apparently one of the clubs doesn't come out of it great!

It's a very pleasant retirement occupation. Not quite so keen on the line-marking as it involves walking. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Christ Almighty. I had to go and get my glasses, I was sure that didn't say "walking"!!! 😂

Isn't there a connection with someone who was or is on the board?

The Academy Director?
Not who I was thinking of. I'm probably wrong but when the tie-up was first announced I seem to remember someone pointing out a conflict of interest.

According to Companies House, Andrew Graham is an active director of Pegasus Juniors.

I know somebody whose son plays for one of the Pegasus kids teams. A couple of months ago, the parents were shown their new kit for next season. The Peggy badge had been moved to the sleeve and the HFC badge was on the chest in its place.
A month or so later, they were advised that the kit change would not be going ahead as the link-up with HFC was being "deferred until next year." No reason given. Since then, I've also heard the aforementioned whisper, and that the parting of ways is not exactly a mutual decision. Peggy have not, to the best of my knowledge, officially advised the parents anything further as yet.

You may be on to something. I heard a whisper that the HFC - Peggy marriage is on the rocks. Not heard anything along those lines. Was that deliberate or an accidental pun regarding lines? You know, walking and marking them. 😄

Zigger zagger!

Apart from hosting the U18's in their floodlit league we (Wellington) expect to host a couple of the middle age group teams for their competitive matches. By the end of August we will have two full size 11 v 11 pitches (1 floodlit), a small size (U14-U16) 11 v 11 pitch, a 9 v 9 pitch, two 7 v 7 pitches and two 5 v 5 pitches....all on grass and less than 5 miles from town. I'd suggest that if members of this age group have not been spotted by bigger clubs, already, then it's probably not going to happen.

However, there will, IMO, be instances of late developers making the grade. The most important aspect is to ensure those that fail to progress to the Pro game retain an interest and continue to play local football. The fear is that having been promised the moon and the stars when they drop out of the academy system they think they're too good to play "with their mates" locally. That is why I believe it is important that HFC maintains its connection with the local clubs from Hereford Prem up.
