Does anyone know what the reasoning is behind the academy playing their home games in Bristol? Don't know why Bristol if true, but would it be due to all the work going on at Pegasus installing the 3g pitch?

This has to be B.S, would Hereford FC Academy really expect around 100 players from 12's to 18's travel 2 hours plus each weekend, at their families own expense AND pay £50.00 subs a month for the privilege?! Not bs. Travelling is at the players/parents expense, signing on fees, £150 kit fees plus £50 per month subs.

I thought the academy teams were playing their games at Victoria park in previous years?
I know some academy teams were training at Wellington FC/Hereford Academy High School last year but of course that was before Mr Bevan became involved so I guess this my change with the new regime.
If teams are playing home games at Bristol, I dread to think where away games might be!!
Seems a bit rich to expect parent to travel all that distance at their own expense when there are plenty of suitable pitches at numerous locations around HFDS

I can’t comment on pervious years as I don’t know. Home games are in Yate.

Are you 100% sure this is all age groups though?
I've been told that U8-U11 teams will be at 'The Ranch' and play in Bristol, but I was led to believe that U12-U18 would be as previous seasons (ie Victoria Park for matches and Wellington/Academy for training)
If you're correct then I know many many parents who wont be happy

Hereford Academy are to play their home games at Yate?
‘Extraordinary’ is the most polite I can be about that decision.

yate is the perfect place to stop hereford fans watching the youngsters chipping away at their careers, and just right for the southwest scouts to pick up any talent we might have

Can’t see what logic there would be in getting some age groups playing in Yate and some in Hereford?

HFC is a community club. It's just a pity it's not the Herefordshire community it's helping.
I wonder how GT managed it, what with him being useless?

I don’t know... in Alpe d’huez at the moment... reckon this would be a fine place to train, hills to climb, glaciers to slide on and a lovely lot of alpine flowers to take home. What IS going on? Who IS in charge of everything. Sad.

There needs to be a statement from the club or the new Chairman to explain this. Only logic is there seems to be some relationship with that bloke who HFC seems to feel is more important than the kids and the community. Somebody please tell me this is a wind up.

"THE new chairman of Hereford FC wants to bring the club's board and fans closer together by engaging 'openly and transparently' "
By secretly moving the club's youth teams and training base away from Hereford and closer to where the management team are based, Andrew?

if the chairman really wants to back up his transparency, he would openly set up a chairpersons user accounton here and officially engage and respond to questions such as why the club is moving its base south when we're in a northern league, maybe we've applied to join the french league in 2021 ? i realise there are a lot of wum's here such as reasonabull, barney (never lets wembley go so we'll ignore any questions about team selection that day), jammo and cbb. HfdEarlyDrugUseFC can focus on any drug issues, ww knows all the answers anyway, so he could still chip away at the rest of the sensible questions.

Apologies to anybody who has posted in earnest but, until I see a club statement confirming it, I refuse to believe that the academy would elect to play home games some 65 miles from Hereford.

Further to my post above, I have now had it confirmed that at least one of the age groups will be playing 'home' games at Yate. I am lost for words but look forward to an explanation from the club.

It needs clarification for sure.
If true however, will need some explanation.
Before the idiot(s) that sanctioned it are fired. Edit. Just read NB’s further comment.
Let’s hear you Mr Graham.

Not in a few months time when you hope it might blow over. Show this transparency amd explain why the club's supporters can no longer watch their youngsters and stars of the future play matches. Just been 1 joke after another for last 10 months
