It seems that the last forum was plagued by my views held that were unsubstantiated (or people unwilling to substantiate them)
It seems that the last forum was closed down - nobody know whys or by who.
There are still views on here uneasy with the perceived lack of transparency within HFC. Many who hold these view seem to have preferred a fan run club (although no all).
In the interests of transparency I think all forum Admins/Moderators should make their identifications known. Home addresses are not needed but Real Names, Twitter and Facebook entries should be made a available so that they can be cross referenced and identified. I am sure there are already enough members on here who can confirm other members ID's (or denounce them if they are made up).
Remember that transparency in not a one way mirror. If you are Happy/unhappy with matters then you will need the moral high ground. You can hardly accuse others of lack of transparency when you are anonymous.
I urge all new members to fill in their profiles, you will be better heard if you do not hide behind anonymity.
I urge all admins to fill in their profiles to the full. Unless this is done this forum will have no credibility (imo).
That's all.

Can't speak for anybody else obviously, but I'm happy as a member to divulge my identity to whoever wants to know it. A PM to me would suffice.

The "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" attitude is, quite frankly, pathetic. It comes from the playground and belongs there.
F*ck monro, just fill in your profile. Your name is?

The forum Administrator is aware of our real identities and our presence on other social media outlets. We have been authenticated as real people. While I am not precious about it I have always been reasonably careful about who knows the man behind the mask, so to speak, and would prefer to remain anonymous to the forum at large.
It's Admin's call but if anyone feels this makes me an unsuitable moderator, I am more than happy to step down. No biggie.

Any registered users view it. You choose not to, which is your prerogative. Perhaps you could fill in your profile instead of hiding behind a username and an unsubstantiated photo

Ban him Jonny! It's what Munsley would've wanted! Then we can have a 20 page thread about it until Jonny finally has a meltdown and closes the forum. Then we can start a new one to discuss how Jonny doesn't exist.

Grow up, FFS! There are many good reasons why a moderator (or anyone else posting on a forum) may not wish everyone to know his real life identity, especially in a small community such as ours. I myself have been threatened with physical violence by a poster on the old forum who took exception to an opinion I expressed. If he knew who I was in real life he could very easily have turned up on my doorstep and attacked me. Given how angry some people get on internet forums, a moderator might be putting himself at risk by revealing his real name.

What a bizarre thread.
I barely understood a word of the OP.
Jonny Dangerous as a name alone has a standing and would presumably feel attached to how his ID behaves. It's not comparable at all to fabricating a completely new user name with no history and no sense of responsibility/accountability.
I suggest whitefriar asks how many other users require his extreme brand of one-way openness before we boot the king of the fence-sitting moderate posters out of a moderating position to which he seems extremely well suited

I too have disclosed my identity, facebook profile, twitter profile and contact telephone number to Admin and the Moderators.
I have agreed to take up an offer to act as a Moderator on this board albeit in a very relaxed fashion - I previously helped moderate 'that there Private Forum' during our time of desperation.
Whitefriar, I won't bow to your hissy fit. However, if the general view of this board is for Moderators to disclose their identity then I will do so. (I'd hazard a guess that 90% of members on here know of me already anyway.)

I think you may have been reading the daily mail too much. PM me your ID too while you are at it. Edit: No hissy fit Bullrush, Just don't want to see this forum go the way the other one went. All lot on here want more transparency yet fail to be transparent themselves. I find that Hypocritical.

Read my profile if you care too.
I have not included inside address, inside leg measurements etc but enough to make it known that I'm not hiding behind my keyboard.
Certainly enough info that can be sent to the authority's by any member, should I make any comments that could be resulted in a persecution.
I am not going to lose any sleep over it.
All I want to to know who is pulling the forum strings, Just like many who want to know who's pulling HFC strings.
Am I being unreasonable, or did I expect too much knowing this was a Fan-owed forum?
