The emotions I've gone through watching the first 4 competitive HFC matches, I can assure you it feels exactly like the old HUFC

No, because they would have lost the leases by then through the "football must remain" clause. Next. They could never prove anything with AL as regards the renovation of the stadium, but the report is pretty damning. Have you read it? And if so, would you really have wanted this individual responsible for the development of our club even if the leases were 'cast iron'? And would you have been happy for someone with his environmental 'indiscretions' to be the public face of the club of which we are so proud? Surely not.

Ex clearly isn't thick and always articulates his arguments well, which makes his relentless defence of everything post-GT and pre-HFC ever more bewildering. There is a vast grey area in terms of good guys and bad guys in this whole saga, but surely everyone with eyes and ears should be unanimous in feeling great joy/relief that AL and TA are no longer anywhere near our club.

Ha! Ivrea! There used to be a Callan School there. I used to teach at the one in London. You know what they say about Bologna girls...you lucky boy.

Oh dear. I thought you posted about killing the football club.
My point is this, Feltham had moved from the Feltham Arena long before that due to vandalism at the stadium. They had played at several venues before eventually merging with Bedfont...a deal that was set up between both Bedfont and Feltham FC's and under the Chairmanship of Brian Barry who is STILL Chairman of Bedfont and Feltham FC.
Feltham FC was not killed, it merged with Bedfont to become sustainable. There is no denying that Lonsdale subsequently took advantage of the, then, vacant and derelict old stadium site.
Happy to debate but please don't make things up.
Andy must have absolutely adored you, Chris. Is there nothing you wouldn't do for that man?

Ex's rather pointless attempt to show Lonsdale's landfill antics at Feltham in a more positive light does at least raise an interesting ontological question about football clubs - would you consider it more of a continuation if they HAD done something crazy like merge us with a local rival than HFC - an entirely new club in that sense, but much more similar to the original than the merged one would have been, the way I see it (though not SO similar that my reservations about the new club have been overidden by my loyalty to the old club - about which, let's not get into an argument about boycotting!) God, that came out all convoluted. You get the gist though I hope (don't bother reaching for the dictionary Grayam, it's not really worth it on this occasion). I specifically avoided the issue over the landfill. The point was to correct Fownhope's suggestion that it was Lonsdale/the landfill that resulted in the end of Feltham. Feltham had vacated the Arena (as it was known) long before the landfill.

Yes, I have read it and I've already said, several times, that I would have preferred them not to have been here.

Please...my eyelids are feeling like tons of Lonsdale landfill...how long will this go on? We all love Hereford...why don't you try to recruit some good players for the club? I mentioned it once...not sure I got away with it.

You need therapy ex. A few pints and memories of 1972-76 should do it. Please, leave the bleedin' obvious alone?

Chris, Grayham....
I don't think these are two mutually exclusive arguments.
However anybody wants to spin it, David Keyte sold Hereford United to a convicted criminal who had absolutely no connection to the area and was a known mate of someone who destroyed Feltham FC.
It would also appear that there are serious questions that need to be asked of the current HFC / HUST board regarding who knew what regarding the moderating and eventual closure of Bulls Banter. The answers (if we get them) to these questions may lead to further questions about the setting up of HFC.
Explain please? Obvious bail of the type ex uses when he wants to hijack a thread.

Why don't you ask me something that isn't already known? 27 years ago wasn't it?
