Guessing the problem of booking the current young trendy artist as a headline, is that glasto wants to ensure well in advance its main acts so that act can clear its diary etc. However, since the 90's, not many acts stay around for long, so if in early 2023 glasto book the current trendy act, by summer 2024 they're no longer selling the streams they once did. Maybe the future is a streaming festival of what is actually current at the time and we all watch the videos whilst camping in our gardens, (obviously walk 6 miles with a rucksack first and throw buckets of water over each and no sneeking inside the house for the toilet, bucket behind the rose bushes).

I liked Cat. Nice whiskers. Did he do 'I Love My Dog'? With a name like his, it always seemed an incongruous choice of song for a debut single. He didn't release 'Kitty' until a year later.

To be honest, he was the only one on the ridiculously ridiculous bill who managed to live up to any expectations, in my opinion. Glastonbury (or "Glasto" as it's commonly now known) is more about the w@nkers who frequent it rather than the music on offer, which I suppose is understandable as it's all mostly shit anyway. And imagine trying to kip in a tent with all those weird people doing funny dances, playing mandolins and studying tarot cards all around you. Yuk.

I saw a news film taken on one of the days at this year's event, presumably made by a professional. They were trying to film what was happening on the stage, but about 4 rows in front was a young lady on somebody's shoulders swaying from side to side. Two rows behind this young lady was somebody trying to video the stage with their phone held up high*. They had to sway from side to side in the opposite direction each sway to the lady in front to be able to get the stage in shot. The film was basically a video of the young lady's back and the hands and phone of another person. I've always fancied glamping in those luxury tents on that hill on next door's farm. A zero gravity chair, a pair of binoculars, and copious amounts of alcohol. What's not to like? Oh yeah, the disappointing music. * - Presumably this was to show to somebody who hadn't been there. Feck the people behind who had paid for the privilege of seeing their phone.

Phones are a nightmare.
Nobody has any memories any more. Just memories of holding their phone and then watching the video back when they post it on social media.
THE GAME HAS GONE.
