Having just watched Dead Man's Shoes, for about the 15th time, this takes some beating. Might have to track this down again...

Not sure when Brassed Off was made but that would have my vote. That said, I'm presently partial to a bit of Chicken Run and its the brilliant sequel. Must be the time of year and the joy in my kid's eyes! Completely agree with this! The Chicken Run sequel has just started playing again and I don't want to have to turn it off. We watched it last week and I thought it was a rare gem in the sequel stakes. I even watched all the 'how it was made' stuff (in a half-drunken stupor) and was in awe of it all. Amazing! Tremendous! A tour de force!
