Having just watched Dead Man's Shoes, for about the 15th time, this takes some beating.

Only watched that a year or two ago. Great film. Not date night material though methinks.
We could do with him in midfield.

24 Hour Party People. Absolute riot of a movie.
Even better is Local Hero, but early 80’s I think so DQ.

Good shout on 24HPP. Paddy Considine again. "30 grand for a f*cking table!"
Local Hero (1983) is probably my favourite film of all-time.

I just need you lot to string this out until May and then I will thrash the lot of you, films laden with Oscar's etc. will be no match for my cinematic masterpiece.
The HFC 2022-23 Season DVD.

What's the gritty one with a reformed cockney gangster who goes straight much to the disgust of his old crew? He tries to keep a flat going.
He does a shift as a sandwich man and they spot him. His son loses his virginity to a prostitute.
He is nails and marmelises them all at the end. In a boozer.
You are a good film. Whoever you are.

Your synopsis of Wild Bill reminded me of Sexy Beast. Gandhi's finest hour.

Lincoln with Daniel Day-Lewis.
Fascinating.

My immediate thought was Shaun of the Dead or Hotfuzz.
Unlike my complex rules for sound, I am open to all thoughts for pictures.

Dead Man's Shoes is a good shout. Gary Stretch surprised me, I thought he was pretty good; our younger viewers may not know that Stretch fought Chris Eubank for the world middleweight title, and, IMHO, was beating him until Eubank's strength showed later in the fight.
Anything involving Paddy Considine, starring, written by, or directed: Tyrannosaur, for example, brutal, bleak, but totally riveting
The Crying Game Secrets and Lies East is East Northern Soul Control (to make a double feature with 24 Hour Party People)
Best British film of all time - Saturday Night and Sunday Morning IMHO

Good shout. Released 63 years ago, with a brilliant British cast. Albert Finney in the lead role, one of the greats. And they made Raleigh cycles in the UK back then, alongside Sturmey Archer gear sets. 🚲
