I’ll do it then, shall I?
WW, why don't you have the balls to just say you hate straight people and leave out the absolutely terrible patter? This isn't funny, it just makes you look like a pathetic crank

Yes, I noticed that our friend Elmo mistakenly used the word "patter" in respect of something which had been written. Perhaps he should "ask an adult" next time?

Black Swan this evening. Slater's "Haka" New Zealand Pale Ale, 5.2 - what a marvellous beer.
The simple locals were having a few pints in the forlorn hope they could drink themselves normal. We watched with no little empathy.
Good, plain folk.
Thanks to the wife for her conveyance again.

Walking at Shobdon today. Beautiful lakes. Bateman Arms ok half way round for some Robinson's cider. Lunch at Riverside, Aymestrey: cacophonous establishment with overrated fare. Nice to get back to the good old Black Swan, Much Dewchurch: Haka bitter, simple country folk and free tee shirts.

I can't comment on five years ago. Go and find out for yourself is my well-meaning advice.

Had the same landlady for 25 years sir. Good Beer Guide for the last four Camra Winter Pub of the Season 2016 Camra Pub of the Year Runner Up 2016 & 2017 So for a bunch of ‘backward oiks’ we’re clearly not doing a bad job. Do call in sometime.

Do call in sometime. Passed on your observation from 5 years ago about the Black Swan to the clientele and the 25yr serving landlady this afternoon. It brought great hilarity from the bar, and the aforementioned landlady found it ‘rather endearing’. Look forward to seeing you, but you won’t get a fecking T-Shirt.

Does she still fawn after and still host the local hunt?
Someone i know, politely asked this question before a group of them booked a meal about 5 years ago, they were basically told to feck off and weren't welcome.
Like i said,backward oiks.
You can stick your t shirt where the sun dont shine!

All clientele are fawned over, it’s called customer service.
Yes, we (like other local establishments) still see the remaining members of the local hunt occasionally - the place has done before the likes of you, me and them were in liquid form. Why shouldn’t we show a welcome to people who were not involved in any of the abhorrent cruelty that took place by a couple of individuals who now continue their lives many miles away.
If you’re friends enquiry resulted in them feeling they weren’t welcome, I would suggest that the enquiry wasn’t as polite as you suggest.
Wish you well sir and, like you, hope things settle down at Edgar St.

In all fairness Mike's stance is because of his anti hunting views and not an unbiased judgment of the pub as a completely separate subject.

In all fairness Mike's stance is because of his anti hunting views and not an unbiased judgment of the pub as a completely separate subject. And he is perfectly entitled to those views, and I don’t have any problem at all with that. The pub has no problem with anyone who doesn’t wish to frequent it due to its long-standing association with the SHDC - it’s their right to have an opinion and the owner of the pub respects that. But if someone is going to refer to the owners as ‘a backward oik’ on an Internet forum I’m going to stick up for them. The irony of it all is that a backward oik is a shot played over the years on the adjoining cricket ground by myself and wainwrong.

It's good to know that in these intolerant times you have no problem with people being anti hunting backward oiks.

A few old hunt members come in for a drink occasionally, or that you host the hunt but there are fewer participants now? Thanks.
