Didn’t they just play scunny? Was there trouble between fans or did scunny not take that many fans to warrant limits? No trouble and not been any at home this season after a big banning order took out a lot of the young us. Scanny got 500 which is all we are allowed to give while still under restrictions for how ever much longer it takes for them to realise its daft. If coming by train there's some good pubs along Brook St area, follow the Rd right out of the station, there's 5 between the Town Crier and Stanley's. If you go left or straight out of the station that will take you to the city center the longer way but more central and a large wetherspoon on foregate St. City has lost a lot of its old school pubs as many have turned into pretentious wine bars charging stupid prices. Cant see the club bar allowing away fans in but if there early enough you may be lucky, Scunthorpe fans were welcomed in and there was no issues. See you lot Saturday and go easy on us ,we can't string a pass together at the moment. Thanks mate. Deva Tap worth a look!?

I do a fair bit of work in Chester: Telford's warehouse is a nice one on that side of town (by the canal), probably my favourite pub in the city In the centre then I'd recommend the Architect (by the racecourse), Old Harkers Arms or Pied Bull. Deva Tap a decent one near the station. All do good food as well. There's plenty of Greene King pubs in the City as well. Chester Markets a nice place if you want easy quick food in the centre Which one is the biggest Wetherspoon and what is the average waiting time for orders via the app? Bull and stirrup and I've never seen more than about 10 people in there so there won't be a queue.

Chester have just signed a defensive midfielder on loan, Will Hughill is the 6ft captain of Burnley's U21s and available for this Saturday. Brought in to counter Teixeira's aerial threat no doubt.

Any watering hole recommendations? according to Google maps the nearest place to the ground that sells alcohol is a big Tesco at the top of Bumpers Lane. You might be best off buying a 4 pack of their own brand cider and drinking it in the nearest park. That's what I'll be doing.

I wonder how many of our idiots will show themselves up again on Saturday....
When will the club start clamping down on some of these?!

No tickets left so didn't go but local match to me. Chester have been totally unable to break teams down at home this season but it seems they did today. I was gonna post last night, pack the midfield, totally pack it. They brought in a guy from Burnley that stopped them getting overrun and it seems it worked. They got embarrassed last weekend and the managers head was on the line. Be interesting to hear the thoughts of those that went. Caddis says we had all the possession but created nothing.

We wanted to win but they absolutely had to and when you give away a goal immediately under those circumstances it is always going to be hard. We couldn’t recover and we are inconsistent but Caddis nailed it in his post match interview. We had our arses handed to us today but make no mistake Chester have a real disconnect between their manager and team and their fans . We on the other hand are united and hopefully that will be reflected in our name soon. A 3 -0 defeat and our fans were still rjght behind our team. As Caddis said, we’ll be alright.

Although colebridge closed the United thread because of "cat calling" I noticed the usual miscreant was allowed to get away with calling a fellow poster a "tool." You all know who I mean. Lightning continues to strike at least twice.

Chapman 7 - good save before half time. No chance for goals. Bartley 7 - looks good and comfortable on ball Hudson 6 - First goal came too easily down his side when didn't choose to go with the overlapping run. Got some decent crosses in. They fans were going mad at him for holding at every 50/50 but got away with it. Preston 6 - solid if slow decision making on ball. Howkins 7 - Impressive in the air. Lost his man for their second. Campbell 6 - Our best midfielder. Quality and time on the ball but playing just in front of our back 2 so not effective. Babos 5 - Not involved much. Think he was part of a central 3 but didn't look himself. Went close with good free kick. Texeira 2 - Dreadful. Only noticed he was playing when he moaned at ref. Physically dominated by their midfield and didn't even bother challenging for some high balls. His average ability on the ball doesn't make up for his lack of pace/tackling/heading. Needs to be shipped out. Ceesay 6 - Got round his man a couple of times and looked our only likely source of creating something. Rose 5 - Started on the right to little effect. Battles away but looked more threatening up top Williams 3 - He doesn't work as a lone striker. Physically dominated so can't hold the ball up and no pace toget behind. I think best used as a sub when the game opens up.
Cowley - keen when he came in with some typical late challenges. D'ath - got stuck in and looked alright when he came on. Other subs - No impression
We passed the ball around a lot in the middle third but never looked urgent to create anything. 2/3 passengers today so you're never gonna win with that. Choose a system and get the players to fit it. Looks like we are trying to find a system to suit the players we've got.
