Calm down Pond never had competition at the start He just needs to knuckle down again Whole team, get back to what they were doing We're not as good as we think we are, but we can certainly be better Fitness seems lacking, get at them Sadly Willo needs to be on the bench Not sure Hudson quite at it Tex should have started Skinner better in defence Hopefully some good minutes for our wide boys today and will be sharper on Tuesday 6 points from next 2 We can do this So you disappear for 6 months and then just come back out of the blue talking sense and you think that is acceptable? What has this forum become?

The combo of Cowley/Philips upfront with Willo playing behind in the hole worked great midweek, why change it at the weekend? Chorley were too good in the air at the front and the back but still we played high balls a lot of the time. ‘If the ball’s in the air, we haven’t got possession. But neither have they.’ But when the ball came down they had possession not us everytime.

Redeemed himself with an excellent save to his left.

Redeemed himself with an excellent save to his left. He showed commendable alacrity to leave his line and smother the ball at chest height marginally to his left. Yes. Moved him up to 7 from 6 in the official ratings.

Redeemed himself with an excellent save to his left. He still failed to keep a clean sheet though. If he had, I doubt we would have lost that game.

Obviously someone forgetting to get the 50p's for the meter meant the scoreboard died at some point. Don't forget to check your ticket... View AttachmentThe jackpot winner is probably not back in Chorley yet in fairness. They are worse than bloody vikings that lot. Cleaned up. Better nip up the Cathedral and check the Mappa Mundi is still there. I always seem to end up with a duff ticket - not sure why I ever bother buying one. Complete Madness.

Team for Tuesday should read:
Pond; Skinner, Downing, Cameron, Hudson; Teixeira, Mendes (available apparently); Okeke, Babos, Ceesay; Cowley.
Subs: Williams, Phillips, Southern, Rooney, Howkins if fit. Nothing else will do.

Just seen highlights of Saturday game. 3minute mark babos forward to Crowley who Lino flag’s offside. Looks to me like 2defenders and obeke closer to the gal than cowley with last defender a yard closer to the goal than obeke.

Yeah, but more, sort of 4-2-3-1 with Teixeira and Mendes holding in front of a much needed back 4. I don't think Willo has struggled quite as much as many have suggested but I think he should start on the bench for this home match.

Agreed - big 3 pointer tomorrow night Yes, but Hereford FC have won precisely 1 of their last 7 home league matches. This corresponds almost exactly with a decision to play 3 centre backs.

Agreed - big 3 pointer tomorrow night Yes, but Hereford FC have won precisely 1 of their last 7 home league matches. This corresponds almost exactly with a decision to play 3 centre backs. It also corresponds pretty closely to barely having enough outfield players to put on the park. Mr Caddis and Mr Rooney may have felt that putting out players with experience, even if in a less than ideal formation, would give a better chance of getting a result. I also suspect that working three/four times a week with the squad, they're in a better position to make that call than someone sat in Block A with, hard to believe I know, considerably fewer professional appearances under his belt. Which said, I like your selection for tomorrow evening, and fwiw, hope that's what we get.

That injury seems to have impacted Willo more than he and all of us would like. Is it games, confidence on the knee or just the miles. Perhaps, a bit of everything.
He did show glimpses in midweek, but let's back them till the end of the season.
A vast improvement, since the days of PB.
