They were too good for us. Had some strong footballers where it mattered. We had a few sniffs but they managed our inevitable second half attempt to ratchet it up with ease on the whole.
Nothing special but you can see why they are third.
Our team is patched up obviously, the midfield we had to concede to them. Williams stayed on longer than perhaps was wise.

Hereford FC persevere with this 3 centre back nonsense at home and again fail to win. It was rubbish from start to finish: my guest was appalled with just exactly how much tripe was served up.
Pond 7; Southern 6, Downing 5, Cameron 6; Skinner 5 (we now KNOW he isn't a midfielder), Babos 5, Hudson 4 (simply isn't a wing back - not a patch on Livingstone) (Teixeira 7); Okeke 7, Williams 6, Ceesay 7; Cowley 6.
Caddis managed to get booked again. Teixeira who wasn't even playing decided to come on the pitch at half-time to give the referee some guidance. Desperately poor. Never mind the referee.
Chorley? Always in control. Won every aerial duel for 94 minutes.

Willo never timed his jumps right all game never won a header. Jumped and was coming down before the ball even got there. Crowley runs around all game but still no end product. Hat trick once in a while not good enough. It was a game of kick and hope most of the time. Ref and the one Lino seemed to be watching a different game sometimes. Think I saw their keeper slip Lino a fiver when he was checking the nets before second half or he was giving him his phone number.

We were not at the races and ref was rubbish, bloody rubbish.
I really don't think we get the rub of the green in 75% of matches.

We aren't street wise enough and this is the most street wise we have been during the NLN era.

Cowley needs someone to provide knock-downs and Willo isn't doing it - not sure what position he was playing in today (seemed to be just lolloping about a bit halfway up the field most of the time) but wherever it was, it didn't work. Chorley were the better team overall, and credit to them for not resorting to any more shithousery than was necessary. Tuesday will be a big game for us now - lose that and the chance of a play-off place will be fast slipping away. Can't blame the officials for this one.

Surely he should just be standing in the box and waiting for someone to find him?
Making him run about doing a load of stuff sounds like it's bound to go wrong.

The combo of Cowley/Philips upfront with Willo playing behind in the hole worked great midweek, why change it at the weekend? Chorley were too good in the air at the front and the back but still we played high balls a lot of the time.

Obviously someone forgetting to get the 50p's for the meter meant the scoreboard died at some point. Don't forget to check your ticket... The jackpot winner is probably not back in Chorley yet in fairness. They are worse than bloody vikings that lot. Cleaned up. Better nip up the Cathedral and check the Mappa Mundi is still there.

Win one, loose one, win one, loose one etc.
From sizzle sizzle to fizzle fizzle again. We have two more games against play off rivals to come this week, if we loose them both we can forget about the play offs altogether.

A current 3 points return from home games against the top 4-5 teams shows we are coming up short, but if we can keep the nucleus of the team, next season we will be right in the mix.

Caddis said he’d like to sign about eight players from this squad for next season. Who are already signed Tex Pond? Cowley?

me and me mate just said that willo's legs have gone, Rooney offers more. agree Willo looks out if his depth physically Willo was a great player in his prime but sadly he appears disinterested these days and in retrospect bringing him back to the club was a mistake. I fully expect him to announce his retirement as soon as the season ends.

Pond needs some serious competition for his starting place , he's a liability. Got away with a lot today.

Calm down Pond never had competition at the start He just needs to knuckle down again Whole team, get back to what they were doing We're not as good as we think we are, but we can certainly be better Fitness seems lacking, get at them Sadly Willo needs to be on the bench Not sure Hudson quite at it Tex should have started Skinner better in defence Hopefully some good minutes for our wide boys today and will be sharper on Tuesday 6 points from next 2 We can do this
