The true cost of Brexit is this imbecile Boris Johnson.
His performance in Prime Minister's Questions today was an embarrassment. Even his acolytes were squirming. It completely beggars belief that so many people have been gullible enough to put him where he is. On the other hand, perhaps it doesn't beggar belief because it proves beyond any doubt that this country is totally incapable of governing itself.

It won’t matter in the long term, Europe is on the verge of collapse anyway. This is the sole reason I voted to leave. The EU has been doomed to fail from the start. It is the titanic and I believe it’s hit the iceberg. We’re simply jumping into the first life raft. Very true. If the EU had just stayed as a single market for European countries to trade on favourable terms, most people would have been happy to remain.
Unfortunately it's grown into a monster over the years, determined to control every area of our lives, overruling national laws and borders, abolishing national currencies and armed forces, with the ultimate goal to abolish all individual countries and become one huge European Superstate. Why else is it desperately clinging on to the UK, over three years after we voted to leave?

None of the above is true. If you really do believe it then you have been seriously misled. I would be delighted if somebody somewhere could put forward a truthful and rational case for leaving EU but nobody can or has. Why is that?

There was a fascinating fact on the radio last week (so a Brexit lifetime ago). They had a lady on that is doing a PhD on Brexit. I think focusing on all of the spin off stats since. She stated that if you recounted the votes today of all the people that voted in June 2016 but only counted the votes of those still alive, the outcome would be Remain. How sh!t is that? Why are we doing this to ourselves? Sorry but that is absolute bull for the following 2 reasons: 1. Nobody wrote their name on their voting slip so it is literally impossible to tell. 2. 1.27 million more people voted to leave than to remain. In 2016 525,000 people died, in 2017 533,000 and 2018 541,000 which is a total of 1.6 million deaths over 3 years. Voter turnout was 72% (which even if you assume that all would have been eligible to vote which they weren’t as many who died would have been under 18 or a not a British National) so therefore 1.15million of those who died would have voted. Not enough to turn over the result, even if you assume that all those who died voted to leave, which they didn’t. That is really good. It was a genuine piece. Radio 5 Friday morning I think. She may have been related to Tooly McToolface off here.

I am not sure if you are helping the situation. Two people died whilst you were writing that. Bugger there goes another one.

If this election did happen would it be correct to put my X against the libs dems?
I hope my buddies on here can guide me through this difficult process

I quite like Portillo, his Bradshaw railway programs lwere very good. I once saw a Hereford United shirt signed by him hanging up in the club office. I still dont know what that was about.

Hmmm, I like what he's done here but I've always disked him for the profits he's made out of the business of pushing tobacco sales throughout the Africa continent. His absolute refusal to discuss the topic when approached was embarrassing as he squirmed away into his taxi.

I hope my buddies on here can guide me through this difficult process I probably wouldn't rank as a buddy but I think it would be the most clear headed decision you have ever taken It's a pity they've gone for a wailing banshee as leader (Tom Brake would be the most capable and indeed the most aptly named) but, yes, Liberal Democrat is the way forward. All the rest have blown it big time. Remain = Liberal Democrat.

The increase in the annual morality rate concerns me more. Did you mean decrease? I see no evidence of an increase of morality annually, monthly, weekly or daily.

You'll be moaning about the (South) African wine producers pushing their addictive products throughout the British Isles next. 😎
