If the government can't get their version of the agreement through parliament and the EU are not prepared to negotiate further what other options are there? Another option could be to set everything up so the public think we've left but secretly we've stayed in. Tell everyone we've negotiated the same trade deals with the EU, print some blue passports and the people won't know any difference. To be honest I think it might be worth floating the option of remaining on the same terms but asking the EU to issue blue passports. They were offered as a significant upside when the Brexit dividend was discussed and I can see the EU running with it in the hope it might stop us embarrassing ourselves further.

Have you not been paying attention? There is no other option any more. In tbhat case "no deal" it is. No need for another referendum if there's only one option is there? The public voted against Remain in 2016, so that option's already been knocked out. Giving people the chance to vote remain again would be about as logical as reinstating a team in the FA Cup after they've been knocked out in the previous round.

The EU has never controlled the colour of our passports. Had the Government wished to print blue passports, it could have done so.

Glad you deleted that last one Newboy. Both my grandfathers risked their lives for this country during WWII. In all honesty I've never asked them which way they voted, But I think I can still hazard a guess that they've given more to this country than 20 year old undergraduate Chelsea who's doing an English degree at Southampton Solent University. Silly and rude insult removed. Please play the post and not the poster.

Maybe before you go insulting people's intelligence you should go and look through all your posts and have a period of self reflection. You're not on twitter now you know.

My dad fought in the Falklands but I don't come on here shouting about it. Mainly because he was Argentinian. (I have to confess I think I have used that on here before - hopefully it was taken out by Munsley)

What part of the now removed insult had anything to do with your intelligence? I dont use Twitter so not sure what you’re getting at with that comment

Are both Jammo's grandfathers in their mid/late nineties and still with us?

Are they interested in a seat on the HFC board? Bring some youth to the setup.

But I guess I have to feel very fortunate that I still have two grandfathers alive in their 90s. Did have a great grandmother who did make to it 100 as well. Countryside fresh air doesn't do you much harm it seems especially given that they were tenant farmers and not estate owning toffs.

You did call him some nasty names though, didn't you? It’s true, I did. Totally bored of his bringing up of universities that he thinks are inferior all the time. I can’t cope with the bizarre irony of him doing that when…well it’s not necessary for me to explain. On a slight deviation; they say that people get more right wing as they get older. I shudder at the thought.

why should the vote to properly brexit be ignored, just because may negotiated the uk into a weak position, should not have allowed those weak remainers to be involved, always trying to put their spanner in, now they've made a right stink of it, and we'll be in an even weaker position either way

There has been no cohesive plan from the Brexiteers. Or Labour.

Although they were both so appalled with their powers of negotiation that they felt compelled to resign rather than champion the withdrawal agreement they both had a hand in negotiating. Doubtless to resurface now as leadership contenders. I'm not fan of May but I don't believe any of the Hard Brexit proponents would be capable of achieving a better deal with no leverage - precisely what triggering Article 50 without opening negotiations first left us with. There is no form of Brexit that leaves the country better off under the current circumstances. Only an idiot or a crook seeking to profit from the disaster it will cause could support it over staying in the EU.
