Now the goatee beardy fecker can take his hands off our public services and the NHS and start coughing up some of the billions in taxes that he's been avoiding.

I think he's made his point, nonetheless. I don't think Branson "made his point" at all, as the decision to no longer stock the newspaper was made neither by him nor Brian Souter, but by a member, or members, of staff. The main point that has been made appears to me to be the one that says one should be able to buy the Mail or the Guardian if the demand for either is there. Branson is saying that he disagrees with censorship and I applaud him for so doing.* *If this is the point that you feel he was making, then fair enough. However, I doubt that it is.
