At least we will see what the board actually want now. The money we have taken from season ticket sales, the FCUM friendly, the Dunkirk game and tonight's game would take a couple of seasons for the teams we are competing against in the league. We need to spend some of this money on decent defenders, a defensive midfielder and a goalkeeper (everyone can see it) before it's too late. It will be a massive failure on the pitch if we don't end the season as champions and massive questions will need to be asked if that isn't the case. The fans have turned up in numbers, time for the board to replicate the faith and effort we have put in. We have to win promotion this season or interest will dwindle fast and then it'll be difficult to climb the leagues. The likes of Chester, Halifax, Telford etc romped the first few divisions - we have to do the same.
Maybe I'm being a little naughty, but why are we being so tight with the funds, we need to spend more on the squad. Or are we not spending it because the money is going to the benefactors and they were always going to get their money back....?

It's a new club ... Is it not a possibility that better players who command higher wages just don't want to come ? Do you not think PB has tried ?..

Then he has to try harder, and tbf, given time to do so. Unable to make it this evening, but it seems pretty clear that scoring goals has had some investment, and will be a good one. Time to look at the other end of the pitch. I dare say the kitty is looking healthier than our back five at the moment.

I completely agree, surely we could attract some players from a higher league if we pay them a decent amount of money and it woukd look good on the CV to be part of a promoted team.

It must be clear to Beadle that the current selection of defensive players will not get us promoted. They can't cope with the route 1 approach of the opposition. Too easily bullied. We need some brick sh*thouse type central defenders and a no nonsense tough tackling midfielder. And a goalkeeper who commands his area. And we need them now.

Don't think there's a single person who disagrees with this now.

We were told that the formation of HFC was to maintain semi pro/pro football in hereford,as I see it we are no more professional than Westfield's or Peggy, how can pb get a brand new team to gel when he only gets 1 maybe 2 training sessions a week, ffs we couldn't even fill the bench tonight, time to stop messing about and start using the the financial advantage we clearly should have.

I'll tell something now if the club look remotely likely to spend big and blow our resources at step 5, three weeks into a season, then focus with be on Hale and co and their incompetence of running a club.

It's got sod all to with spending big. It's got everything to do with tactics. Beads has got to realise that if they have a big tall striker and we are at home, don't play so sodding deep that it brings him into the game. We battered them playing football but when their defence got the ball, we panicked and when your keeper isn't sure what he is doing, your two centre halfs hasn't got a hope in hell. It's time for DLW is only to give Harvey a kick up the arse.

First they were too high...now they're too deep? Try winning the ball. They've been getting caught out playing too high, haven't they?

If my goalkeeper doesn't know what he is doing I take control as cb/captain. I don't rely on a f*cking keeper to make my decisions for me. Helps if he is on it but if he's not cbs don't suddenly turn into jellyfish...

Assume you fell into a stupor, Rodders. A tactical debate for another time, perhaps. And a club strategy debate unresolved...

Couldn't have put it better myself, it is blatantly obvious. It's clear the defence has no confidence in the keeper, it's panic stations every time the ball goes near him.

So take control as a centre-back. You don't rely on your keeper to make decisions if he is indecisive. I would give myself a serious talking to if I allowed myself to be confused by a not-very-good keeper. You just take control.

And in there lies the problem, we don't have a centre half who is able to take control, if we had, we wouldn't have conceded goals like we did tonight. Could you imagine the Stourport number 5 allowing any of those goals to happen, particularly the first. Pains me to say it but James should be marshalling the defence, but he is to quiet and 5 yards too slow.

James needs to be benched on the evidence so far, he isn't going to improve, due at his age, infact he is on a rapid downward spiral. A commanding CB is required, I can only see more pain if the situation isn't addressed. I'm not sure i'd even keep him as a squad player as if he had any coaching ability he surely wouldn't have allowed his fellow defenders to be as naive and poor as they have been.

It's not about spending money, don't be to harsh on PB the team need time to gel last season we got frustrated for the same reason Give the man a chance The other problem you have is getting players who will come to Hereford as you know we had to pay for lodgings
Whatever happens I think Beadle will get you promoted you have a good solid team and you won't win every game
The key word is patience
