It might be a pub league but to every player in that league Hereford is their Man Utd and it will not be an easy league to get out of
You are not high enough in the league system to attract decent players and just spending money won't win you the league
Beadle and the players need at least 10 games to gel then in my opinion when they do Hereford will smash the league
As for MW he is only secretary isn't he so has no real say in the team, maybe you should rely on the wisdom of the UITC coaches and maybe scout the welsh league for players

At least we will see what the board actually want now. The money we have taken from season ticket sales, the FCUM friendly, the Dunkirk game and tonight's game would take a couple of seasons for the teams we are competing against in the league. We need to spend some of this money on decent defenders, a defensive midfielder and a goalkeeper (everyone can see it) before it's too late. It will be a massive failure on the pitch if we don't end the season as champions and massive questions will need to be asked if that isn't the case. The fans have turned up in numbers, time for the board to replicate the faith and effort we have put in. We have to win promotion this season or interest will dwindle fast and then it'll be difficult to climb the leagues. The likes of Chester, Halifax, Telford etc romped the first few divisions - we have to do the same. Maybe I'm being a little naughty, but why are we being so tight with the funds, we need to spend more on the squad. Or are we not spending it because the money is going to the benefactors and they were always going to get their money back....? I'll tell something now if the club look remotely likely to spend big and blow our resources at step 5, three weeks into a season, then focus with be on Hale and co and their incompetence of running a club. Who says blow our resources etc? We can spend a little and blow every team out of the water at this level and the two leagues higher if necessary. With the financial clout at our disposal, I expect the club to spend a little of it and ensure we get promoted at the first attempt. Otherwise crowds will dwindle and any advantage/extra money we did have won't be coming through the door. I don't understand why people say why spend all our money etc when people ask just for a little to be invested into the squad (and in this case the defence). No one wants every penny to be spent, just enough to get sufficiently good players to get us promoted this season (and possibly next). That shouldn't cost a lot at these levels. Especially as going forward we look pretty decent so shouldn't cost too much to bring in some quality and experience in defensive positions, only another 3 or 4 players.

Quite. Pablo & Mills are a cut above this level. Bring in a couple of similar standard central defenders & a central midfielder & we would have enough to walk this league. We probably wouldn't even need a new goalkeeper if PB strengthened those areas. The future of the club doesn't have to be put at risk to do this*, they just need to sign three higher-graded players. *of course this depends on whether the players already signed are on ridiculous deals at this level but on current showing you would hope not! LOL, Keyteonomics! Spend spend spend.

LOL, Keyteonomics! Spend spend spend. Even though everyone quite rightly hates Keyte, you would still have to admit that he didn't experience the luxury of having crowds which were at least 20 times higher than everyone else in the league. Currently it's a bit like Man Utd dropping to League 1, signing Steve Bruce as centre back and then conceding 5 at home to Fleetwood Town.

One difference between us and the rest in this league is ES, it obviously costs us more to maintain and run, however, I agree we need to buy at least 2 centre backs and Harvey needs some competition, at the moment he just isn't good enough. We were bullied last night by a physical side who chased everything and just wanted it more.
Joel is not a leader and should not be captain, the captain needs to motivate/bollock/lead/encourage etc, not one person on the pitch is doing that. We need a Ryan Green type player who will tackle hard and make players back off, our defense is not good enough and unless we change it then we will not get anywhere higher than mid table, we do not currently have a squad good enough for promotion

You don't spend money at this level and you don't need to buy players. Leave it to Pete Beadle. 7 days approach to whoever he wants with an extra £100 a match in their pocket and he will get his team sorted. He has limitations of course. Hereford is not appealing to most young lads but someone based in the West Mids/Worcs area will come for an extra £100. That's 50 more programmes sold that's all. Don't get too down about it. It's a shockingly poor standard and the money available dwarfs the early problems. Imagine Chelsea in the League 2 and you get the picture.
