It has everything to do with it. They realise that the Labour party's attitude towards Jewish people isn't what is constantly being portrayed in the right wing press.

No mention of Owen Smith getting sacked in here then. Tbf maybe Corbyn just made a mistake and thought he was Jewish. Tobefairlike, the cut and thrust of this thread pertains to the ruination of the country at the whim of tax dodging newspaper barons and bollock-faced Little Englanders. The goings-on within the Labour party are tangential, at best. For the record, though, this Labour party member disagrees with the decision, and the party leader's general stance, or lack thereof, regarding Brexit. He is out of line on this one.

Echoed on the wireless this morning.
Fake news, created by the Tory press, with an eye toward the upcoming local council elections. They're getting desperate.

They’re absolutely bricking themselves. You have to ask why that might be?

Yes, it's sad to see The Labour Party tearing itself apart like this. It's bad enough Corbyn's cabinet openly rebelling against him over his confusing stance on Brexit but when Corbyn himself fails to convince anyone that he isn't anti-Semitic it must surely call his authority into question. Even way back in 2015 the Jewish community were United in their condemnation of his extreme views. www.thejc.com/news/uk-news/corbyn-candidacy-branded-disgraceful-1.67193Perhaps Labour need a more moderate leader if they're ever to govern again?

I'm actually stunned by some of the responses to this issue in here. This is widely accepted to be a problem from within the Labour party so I don't even know what some of you are trying to achieve by pretending it isn't happening. Its not even as if people have said that this is happening on a small scale, instead what you've given is outright denial. Over the past few days I've seen members of the shadow cabinet and many Labour MP's critical of the processes taking to long in cases where anti Semitism is alleged to have taken place. I have seen it first hand with my own eyes but also over and over again all over social media and the internet.
Some of you need to go and have a hard look at yourselves in the mirror because what has taken place over the past few years has been nothing short of disgusting at times. Yet you lot have had the cheek in the past to call me a racist and yet you're now ignoring another form of it. Denying or pretending it isn't happening is almost as bad as doing it yourself. There has ALWAYS been a hatred of Jewish people in extreme forms of politics. I know most of you are not stupid enough to know that so I've got to ask, just who the hell are you trying to fool on a f8cking football forum? Its absolutely laughable.

I think part of the problem is that many successful and well off businessmen and women are (or are perceived to be) Jewish. There's no-one Socialists hate more than rich, successful businessmen - perhaps that's why the Labour Party is so anti-Semitic?

Would it be wrong to simply suggest that I have little doubt that our angry friend has seen anti Semitism "first hand with his own eyes" (brilliant) given some of the forums and chat rooms he frequents.
I doubt that any of that would be from the "left wing" (whatever that means) however.
Anyway. As you were....

That was top notch. I also enjoyed the subtle use of implication "extreme forms of politics" with regard to the current Labour party, currently enjoying a gentle transition back to centre left after the New Labour experience.

I think its pretty sad at what this forum has become. I've never said that the Labour party is extreme as a whole. Its the certain elements that are quite disturbing especially when they ally themselves so closely to Jeremy Corbyn. Most people do not care who is the leader of the Labour party but the ones who make anti Semitism comments are from the far left and have been making disgusting comments in droves.
As for the incident I saw first hand, it was in London over 12 months ago. A guy had something like "I stand with Israel" on a white t-shirt. Some one passing asked him how he could support such a thing and then unprovoked said he'd be surprised if some one doesn't knife him if he continues to wear that shirt. When a few people tried to calm the situation down he walked away but not before calling him a "stupid Jewish pr1ck." At this point the man with t-shirt responded with "I'm not even Jewish." The other man was wearing a hoody that said "Jeremy Corbyn 4 PM" across the back of it.
This is something that would probably never happen around here. But it does happen on a daily basis in parts of London alongside many other forms of racism. But I'm glad that some of you find it so amusing. I'm also glad that colebridgebull once again has shown his maturity at being able to administrate a forum. His obsession with making up lies about me has actually become rather amusing. But I know when it comes to anti Semitism and all form of racism my conscience is clear. Because I have never committed such a thing and have never willfully ignored it which is what some of you are doing now.
Its not ok to look at another political group and to be critical but then ignore the very same thing when it exists in a party that you support. Let's see if any of you can come up with a response that doesn't involve petty insults, made up crap or more "its all tory tabloid lies." I think most people have had enough of that regurgitated shite.

That's clearly awful and abhorrent behaviour, but it's a bit of a stretch to suggest it has anything to do with the Labour party in general. Still, give the Mail a call and I'm sure they'd print it.

But then seeing as Colebridgebull is known on this forum for posting jokes about date rape, we shouldn't be surprised.
