OOOoooohhhh, the Brexit guys will be getting a bit nervous... Welcome back Johnny. Oh dear. You can have as many opinion polls as you like but as there ain't gonna be a second referendum and the next general election is 4 years away, they're utterly irrelevant.

no fantasy jammo. the gullible amongst the electorate were undoubtedly unduly influenced by the likes of johnson, gove etal (all this dosh we save will go into the nhs lmao !!!) and the racist agenda of ukip. immigration was the only issue many considered and had no thoughts about how we exit something we have been part of for 40 years. our government did not even have a plan for dealing with a no vote .. as for the ramifications they clearly did not have a clue ! cameron should go down as one of the the biggest buffoons in uk political history - the man that *ucked up the uk and then pushed off at the earliest opportunity ! btw im no fan of corbyn either ..... i genuinely believe that a second referendum would result in a substantial remain vote as many of those that voted out have seen what a con the whole brexit campaign was .... Remain wouldn't win a second vote, and even if it did it wouldn't be by much. Should we then go the best of three? The reason so many are pi55ed off is that we have weak Remainer May trying to lead the negotiations. this will never work. If you are going to have a massive change, which I admit this is, then you need firm and resolute leaders that believe in the project and are prepared to take on the EU in detail and able to issue substantial threats which can be backed up. The EU won't 'give' us anything, we need to win it from them, prise it from their cold dead hands. I just can't see the current lot managing that.

Problem is we don't have the Empire behind us any more and there are 27 countries pulling in the opposite direction. That's going to take some prising!

The balance of trade should be enough. Exactly. The arrogance of the EU is astonishing. It should be the UK that dictates the terms of our departure, not the other way round. As vectabull says, Theresa May is a remainer forced by democracy to carry out a policy she doesn't believe in. We need a Boris or ever a Nigel to show the EU whose boss and that we won't be dictated to by petty unelected bureaucrats.

I've met the man in the street and he's a cxxx. However, if I witnessed his murder, I would grass the culprit.
On the other hand if I happened to witness someone bumping off Theresa May, Boris Johnson or Nigel Farage I might be inclined to act otherwise.

Is there seriously anybody left out there who thinks this preposterously useless nation can go it alone?

Argues against both democracy and unelected bureaucracy in a single paragraph. That takes some doing. "forced by democracy" - A modern example of the Arthurian Dilemma? Let's hope not, as he ended up going to war with the French over it.
