I see that Blyth Spartans are in the North section. Will be nice to lock horns with their players again after the Wembley shenanigans..... Allegedly If we do have to go up there, I'm going to demand an interpreter so that I can fully share the experience.

Much of a muchness insofar as away games are concerned by the looks. The North has plenty of teams in the Midlands and North-West which are pretty straightforward to get to from here (Hereford), though the South has Truro (I've always wanted to go to an away ground in Cornwall - closest I've got is Plymouth) and Weston, which is of course the best Seaside in the Whole Wide World, apart from Rhyl. Plenty of parking on the beach*. Both leagues have pros and cons. Some decent teams in the northern section who would bring decent followings and create an atmosphere at the Street. Southern would probably be easier to get out of. * If you time the tide right, otherwise you can collect your car in Lydney or Ilfracombe.

Despite having a full and happy life I have somehow found time to work this lot out...
Our positioning is based upon our current average of 2395. We charge £11/£10 to sit and stand. All prices are based on Adults.
League 1 - Average Crowd 7944 Approx Cost of Games £22 (we would be 24th best supported team).
League 2 - Average Crowd 4752 Approx Cost of Games £20 (we would be 20th best supported team).
Conf - Average Crowd 1780 Approx Cost of Games £17 ((we would be 6th best supported team).
Conf N - Average Crowd 1150 Approx Cost of Games £14 (we would be 3rd best supported team behind Stockport 3379 and York 2773).
Conf S - Average Crowd 544 Approx Cost of Games £14 (we would comfortably be the best supported team - Dartford pull in 970).
Some of it is based on the divisions figures from last season. Kiddie pull in 1545 and charge £16/£14 to give you an idea of a reasonable non league team at the next level up. Some teams look to charge a fair bit for kids, some charge £1 (Kiddie do).

Tons of geeky stuff on here. Fill your boots. Press national in top menu for non league stuff... www.footballgroundguide.com/Go for it. For crowds scroll down... www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/steps/steps-1-2/EDIT: In football ground guide clicking on Old Grounds has got some good stuff that'll take you back. EDIT some more: The football ground guide also has ticket prices on each teams page. Some of them think they are Arsenal!

Speaking of Arsenal, they charged £10 (kids £5) for their game against Chelsea last night.

If we capitulate with this promotion lark - would we remain in the southern league or be in the new central league ?

How many play off places in the NLS, as in 13th, it looks a long way away.

How many play off places in the NLS, as in 13th, it looks a long way away. After they extended it to 6 playoff places this season to give more teams a chance of promotion, I wouldn’t be surprised if it increased again to the top 22 for next season. Can’t make any team feel unimportant.

How accurate is this though? Looking at 'the full breakdown', poor old Stratford Town have completely disappeared?

How accurate is this though? Looking at 'the full breakdown', poor old Stratford Town have completely disappeared? These predictions are pretty accurate however they base the promoted teams on who looks most likely to finish first and second. Obviously the teams that finish second don't always end up winning the play-offs. At the moment, assuming Torquay don't pull off a miracle in the Conference and stay up, it looks like the play-offs in our division will decide where we end up. You'll note that it predicts King's Lynn will be promoted with us. If this is the case, we'll be in the South. If Kettering win the play-offs, we'll be in the South. If Slough or Weymouth win them, we'll be in the North. If Torquay pull off a miracle and stay up, or if Orient get dragged into the relegation mix as well as Torquay, we'll be in the North.

I want to be in the south but for Kings Lynn to stay down.

Understand what you say bbe but wouldn't Stratford then appear somewhere as a 'white non mover'?
