FFs wain he didn't have much competition, I can't think of any notable striker born in Hereforfdshire, couple of defenders and a few midfielders but no strikers,

But he had to leave both the club and the shire to illustrate it. Windmilling/arm waving petulant attitude and all. He really was developing into a legend in his own lunchtime towards the end of his tenure at Edgar Street. He had to go. And he did. Relief all round.
(All in my humble opinion, of course!). Well, yes. Because he was too good for us. Turner who gave him his first chance later deployed him on the wing during his loan spells. The "arm waving and petulance" resulted in no suspensions. So quite irrelevant.
He was certainly on £5k a week last season.
PS Not surprised you've had relief.
And the relevance of him being "certainly on £5k a week last season" is? As for your closing remark above, frankly I expect better from you. Then again, I suppose I really shouldn't be surprised.

The relevance is that Mr Blandford's investment, for example, would keep him employed for ten weeks. Yesterday we played Bromyard. If you couldn't see Williams was any good, it calls into question any football post you make. (You've given me plenty of stick - if you can't take it....)

More to the point, £5k per week explains why he left The Swine.
BTW, Roy Williams (Hereford born)?

Hereford born Conner Wickham?
I'd say he's achieved more in his fledgeling career than any other Herefordshire born striker.

wainwrong, we may well have being playing Bromyard yesterday or at some other point in the season even if we were still a Football League club as it was a County Cup match. That said, I acknowledge what you are saying in that regard. I too think that the level where we are being told we must play at is crap. I am trying to enjoy it as much as possible.
And where did I say I thought Williams wasn't any good?. He was. He also gave the impression of being petulant.
However, I'll leave you to post away to your heart's content.
I'll also now not sleep too well for ages knowing that you don't rate my football posts.
Enjoy the rest of your day. No, really, I do mean that.

Absolute bollox. Although I suppose you were too young to remember Charlie Thompson, John Charles or Tommy Best? What. No apology? And before you start, Phillips was born in Halifax. I saw all of them play. More times than you.
Surprised you came up for it.............Glos & Wainwrong in BIG WHOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSHHHH!AND, Wainwrong, assuming that you haven't been telling porkies about your age, you are VERY unlikely to have seen either Tommy, or Charlie, play.................

Oh Mick Hill got a great story about him, when he was on the taxis. I was in Merchant navy and id got hold of some blue movies from San Francisco, I got to know Mick when I come home on leave anyway he wanted to borrow these movies, so I gave him the movies and the cinny camera in a bag, Anyway I met up with him a couple of months later, and id still not had the movies back, I said Mick any chance of my movies back, he looked at me a bit embarrassed, he said mate your not going to believe this but, I had a customer and I took her grocery's in and the bag of porn went in to as it was in a bloody Tescos bag, (which yes I had put it in, as I never thought he would give it to some old dear)he said I didn't realise till, I got a call on radio about some woman going heap because there was a bag in there that wasn't hers (thing was the cases were very explicit )he said ive not had the balls to go back and get the bag, never saw my camera or bloody movies again lol
