Atm it's far to 'cliquey' at the top. Maybe some fresh bloody into HUST is what's needed. I agree. Maybe when somebody new joins then we don't get on their back ,and actually appreciate that we have some new "bloody"? |

I trust plenty of people. Just not on the Trust. (winky thing) So we're screwed then. If any of us stand and try to do the right thing then you'll automatically assume that we're up to now good. Because so much trust has been eroded at the Trust, it would take a lot of time to trust the Trust again. With so much mistrust about, you might even need to start a new organisation. Not sure I can trust the Trust again.

I dunno why people even bother standing for HUST if you dicks are gonna act like this. I'd love to stand and love to stick up for what we believe in but if it's met with this shite then fùck it. I'm embarassed to support the same club as you paranoid bunch of asss Mike, someone has suggested you may have had one too many tonight. I do hope that's true. Even so, even if that is so, then I humbly suggest that your obvious total inability to understand simple written English, or engage in constructive discussion with your fellow supporters, without resorting to such pathetic insults for no good reason at all, make it bleeding obvious to all on Sunday why you should NEVER consider joining ANY public organisation at all. Thank goodness those who have done in the past, including Rodders, have NOT been like you. If your groundless insults are aimed at me, then please be assured I'm equally embarrarsed to support the same club as you. I have. Sorry, I don't take too kindly too blatant lies about a close friend. The reaction to somebody standing to do some good for us has been appalling. Whether I'm drunk or not it's pretty clear that the investigating into who he is and what his background is will obviously put anyone off stepping forward to represent us. Why would you when you know that people will be trying to drag up anything they can about you that they can find about you on the internet, regardless of whether it's a threat or not? |

I have some sympathy for where you're coming from but sometimes you need to sweep the cupboard clean, rather than appoint a new spokesman for the dirt in the cupboard (so to speak). I'm grateful that Andy Carr wants to devote time to HUST as a board member. But I would like to know whether his place on the board is already permanent (two years), or contingent on his being elected by the membership next month. I find the HUST statement quite confusing.
"Andy was co-opted at Thursday’s Board meeting and is one of four applicants to be currently standing at the forthcoming elections."
And given the proximity of the elections it seems a strange time to co-opt a new member. Ideally I'd like as many as possible to be elected by members.

So the fact he is on a website that's got nothing to do with HUST or football for that matter, and he was in a Fantasy Football league, he must be one of the current boards mates? Jeez It's little wonder no one wants to join the board when stuff like this is posted on here. Rodders, I know you from meeting you and more importantly your past actions to be a 110% fan and genuine supporter, in all senses, of The Whites. I am too. I'm also totally 110% confident that you have always done your best while involved with HUST etc. I genuinely admire you for putting yourself up for the board, and more so for being "man" enough to come on here these last few days and speak about HUST activities as you have done, openly and honestly. I think that takes a real man to do so, and hats off to you. I can fully understand why you may possibly feel as if people have it in for you, especially "faceless forum users", certainly you've been asked to field a lot of awkward questions lately. I for one would not have been brave enough to do as you've done, and I do admire you for it. I suspect the ongoing "negativity" that some display towards you is now saddening or even upsetting you. Come the morning you may look back and notice I was not one of those people, nor will I be in the future. I hope you can accept my heartfelt apologies as my post has apparently upset, offended or angered you; that was NEVER my intention in any way. I didn't for one minute suggest that "our" Andy Carr, who from what I can see may easily be the person referenced on both the above websites, is "one of the current boards mates", or indeed anything else. This thread got way out of hand. I feel a little bit sorry for Archie here. All he did was look the guy up - after all, we haven't been introduced in here. No harm in that! It's others that conflated the 'Yes Man' and 'mate of the board' allegations with his post.
Anyway, wot Somn says. It does seem like a funny time to be co-opting new board members, I guess they are short-staffed at the moment since everyone else of sound mind left the building. The alarming thing is how confusing this whole electron process seems to be.
I do hope nobody has really been put off standing for HUST off the back of this thread of all things.

Since July HUST have been looking for somebody to fill a role. Somebody put themselves forward. The only strange thing is that somebody would want to put themselves up for your scrutiny. I feel sorry for Andy. ALL I did was spend 30 seconds trying to find out a little more about someone, not exactly underhanded gutter-press tactics or Sherlock Holmes rocket science. In case you've not noticed in recent weeks the HUST board have had a little bad press, so hardly surprising if an announcement of a new Board member might raise a few eyebrows. Indeed said person should reasonably expect to be greeted carefully by the Membership at first. HUST is an organisation supposedly representing ME and other forum-members who tonight have wondered who this new person is, let's face it the HUST statements haven't been over-informative have they ? A photo/penpicture could and probably should have been produced with the name, so we knew who was going to be representing US, the paying members. What's more, I suggested the links I found MAY be "our" Andy Carr, I didn't give any opinions at all, bar ask if the photo seemed likely to be "our" man. To me those sites clearly suggested they indeed related to "our" man, and more importantly, did a pretty darn good job of showing him to be the RIGHT sort of person to be representing US on the Board; a longterm supporter, a soccer fan from Hereford, a welltravelled and apparently intelligent person with good journalistic skills, etc etc. Why on Earth NOT share this news, thats good PR for him isn't it ?. If there's anything at all negative abt him, or even blatant lies..., on those sites then they were written and posted on the web by the man himself, not by me. Yet you dare to call me paranoid (which I actually have every right to be considering the substantial time and considerabull savings the club has LOST me over recent years), so I can live with that. But the insults are way beyond the pale, and undeserved.
