Thought that myself. Thought O'Shea did well 1st half. Obviously after the sending off it was tough. Delighted for Jarrod to get his first goal for England. Don't mind saying I had a little tear welling up.

Bowen and O'Shea have both played for an iteration of a Hereford football club.
The other suggestions were yet to play for an iteration of a Hereford football club and therefore not "Hereford ex players" at the time.
Just saying.

Reece Styche could possibly be worth a look, although unless we have had someone else from Lichtenstein or the Faroe Islands maybe not.

The last time it happened was as recent as September 2004 when an ex HUFC player came on as sub for the home side and an ex HUFC loanee started at full back for the away team.
Can you guess who they are and which countries they were playing for?

Bowen and Gulacsi? Possible but CBA to check. Cap doffed. Both players started the match in Budapest on 4 June 2022. (Bowen also started the return fixture at Molineux 10 days later but Gulácsi wasn't even on the bench.) Would you like a prize? Good as new, one careful owner...

Darren Randolph won 50 caps for the Republic of Ireland, playing against England on 2020 at the back end of his international career, no Jarrod Bowen though sorry. JB didn't get going until 2022 (that seems to recent but amazing all the same). Randolph started getting into the Ireland international squad in 2011, Parry (capped 12 times) was last involved with Wales in 2008. So nothing there. If you want any other examples of international games that didn't involve former Hereford players pitched against each other please don't hesitate to ask as there are tons of them. Tyrone Mings was in that 2020 England team who I seem to recall was rumoured to be connected with Hereford somehow? Here was the match... www.thefa.com/england/mens-seniors/fixtures-results/england-v-republic-of-ireland-2020-international-match#t-2
