Jon Narbett. His dive against Walsall in the cup.
There was far less faking injury and screaming then. Modern football and like wain I don't approve, but grudgingly I suppose being holier than thou costs points.
As for the game, we had shape. I note the criticism above, Matwasa was ok, slow of thought at times rather than foot but he brought us balance. There may be better players on the bench but a good team is more than the sum of its parts .... though we've a way to go before we can attach the good team label imo.

I remember Chris Price regularly going down in the opposition penalty area like he’d been shot. He was very very good at it. I also recall quite a few players pretending to be professional footballers. One even pretended to be a former international. They were not quite so good at it. Pricer was outstanding in that field. Was once touched, briefly, 5 yards outside the box at Orient. Won a penno and I think a red, even he was giggling. Which said, a disgrace that he wasn’t sacked on the spot. Very un-United behaviour.

Cosmos does not get pushed off the ball as easily as some of our players. He has a low centre of gravity which helps.

Well, I see our forum leaders have managed to come up with one name between them for the 90 year period till 2014.
Presuming the Hereford FC management can read I would point them in the direction of Aesop's fabled boy and wolf.

Do you believe that if HUFC had somehow survived they would have managed to isolate the players from the modern unsporting trends that have ripped through football? I seem to remember Scholes etc. realising in France 98 that if you can't beat them join them in the dying fly arts. It has been downhill from there.

Shithousery in the game is nothing new.

Not Football but All Black, Andy Hayden diving out of a lineout at Cardiff in 1978 was one of the finest/worst shithousery moves in sporting history.

Yes, but some of the above examples could actually play football. It's the only string to this bloke's bow.

Thought it interesting to note that as the NLN table stands today, of the top 12 we only have Kiddy and Scunthorpe left to play away.

Of the top 13 teams in the league standings, we've only played one of them at home, Kings Lynn, and have only taken 12 points out of 24. That's having played 6 of the bottom 8 at home. Worrying.
