Looking like a defeat tonight but those lads can hold their heads up.
Looked for long periods as though we had the extra man. A little more luck on the goal line, different story. Credit to the team, great effort.

Thought we were the better team, or certainly had more class. Some of their touches were laughable when they were in good positions.
Some of our fans are plonkers though. Throwing a drink over Southern and don't know what was kicking off at the end but seemed unnecessary, to put it mildly.

I’d be very surprised if the club weren’t aware, there is very likely stuff going on behind the scenes, but some sort of statement is overdue. Doing the right things are commendable, but sometimes being seen to do them is as important. |

Mistake to change a winning team. Robinson should have been sub and made to wait because his fault all these bookings.
However the discipline not good with all of the bookings.
We need Cowley back to freshen up the forward line because we have chances but seem unable to convert many in some games.
Give Farsley a sound beating on Saturday please.

The truth is some of our fans have been mindless dickheads since I first starting going in the 80s. Its not a new phenomenon. Generations of Hancocks. Its just that percentage of the general public you wouldn't want be anywhere near. Same as it ever was. As Talking Heads once said.
Nothing the club can do. A dick is a dick. All clubs have got them.

Christ. Great performance against a team with zero footballers and the referee firmly on their side.
How he didn't at least send on of theirs off!? I have no idea.
Robinson's wasn't a red but we improved down to 10.
Neither of their goals should have stood (not a free kick and foul before the second).
We still need a big chokeslammer in the middle.
We missed so many chances. We go again Saturday.
Just about calmed down.

Best thing to take away from the last couple of weeks is we look like a good team now whereas before I think results flattered us.
Positive stuff despite the result.
If fans abused Southern they are idiots. He played well for us and moved only to be closer to home. He also has friends in the team. Absolute idiots.

But are we good enough? My gut feeling is that we are probably 2 really high quality signings away from ensuring comfortable play off qualification. There is no doubt that we have suffered at the hands of some terribly biased refereeing performances most notably disallowing a perfectly good winner v King’Lynn and actually awarding a goal against us when the ball hadn’t crossed the line but taken in isolation this is a poor result at a place where most of our rivals probably won’t slip up. Still in Caddis we trust and yes I do love the bloke.

The problem we have imo is getting crosses into the box. Caddis keeps saying keep on getting crosses in there it will come.
Problem1 it goes straight to a defender with all the time in the world to play it out to a team mate. Or the keeper comes and collects.
Problem 2 it goes to our player who can’t control it, hasn’t got room to move and loses it, or hits opposing player with it.
Maybe stop the prematch shooting practice and practice crosses instead. Defence v forwards. At the moment only Chapman practices crosses but never seems to go up into the opposing box.
Maybe now we have stopped this undefeated away we can now win at home.

Unless Caddis can sort out the latter issue, another mid table season beckons. |
