Between November 1982 and May 1983, Cambridge United goalkeeper Malcolm Webster kept a clean sheet in 12 consecutive home league matches. In recognition of this achievement, Webster was presented with an award at half-time of the final match of the season, at home to Oldham, and proceeded to concede four goals in the 2nd half.

Strange but true....When Accrington Stanley went bust in 1962 they were replaced by Oxford United
However when Oxford were relegated out of the FL in 2006 they were replaced by the reformed Accrington Stanley.
On Christmas Day 1935 Oldham Athletic beat Tranmere Rovers 4-1. The following day,in the return fixture,Tranmere beat Oldham 13-4, which remains as the all time record for most goals in a FL game

The other, of course, is Shrewsbury Town.

I suppose there are quite a few outside of the league, though.
For example, Warwick University play in Hereford.

They're not even in the country the represent. Which I guess is replicated by TNS. But I do love going to the European nights.

If that were true then a defensive hoof could be deemed to be “international clearance “.
Anyway back on topic…

The England/Wales boundary passes through the club offices at the Deva.
Other clubs who don't play in the town/city/country etc they represent: Bolton Wanderers (Horwich), Chelsea (London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham) and Wimbledon (Milton Keynes).

You obviously haven't been anywhere near the ground since then have you? In reality why would you need to? Since then there's been 2 supermarkets,a garden centre and a new pub just about to open plus several hundred new houses as the town is expanding out to the bypass in all directions Meanwhile our attendances are averaging 6500 per match, 2500 away fans off to Derby on Saturday, and we are playing our 8th consecutive season in L1, only Fleetwood have been here longer. Mock all you like, and I appreciate that this is your forum, but I would rather be where we are than where you are,no manager,no chairman and no idea who is pulling the strings at your club

You could also add Tranmere, who play in the Prenton area of Birkenhead not the Tranmere area which is closer to the river.

No. Its equidistant between Shrewsbury Abbey and Bayston Hill. FACT!

Actually, since the trees have been cut down, from the viewing point at Queenswood on Dinmore, you can actually see half the Shrewsbury pitch. You can't even see the floodlights from top Darwin centre.

Yeh TBF we can be industrial some times but 9th in L1 tells a story which suggests that we can play a bit as well Rather better than 11th three leagues and at least 72 places lower.Certainly don't want to make a thing of this as you guys have been through hell just to have a football team without the shithousery that is surrounding your club now
