Only one game for me, the sky blues vs the wannabe sky blues (with a bit of claret thrown in)

Wrexham v Bromley FA Vase Final on Quest. Can't be arsed with all that Premier League rubbish.

As a fan of the reds I'll stick to watching the Liverpool v Wolves match. Every time I see that City are losing, level or even holding on to a narrow lead, I switch the TV on and more often than not they seem to score moments later! I'll resist tempting fate tomorrow although I fully expect them to be champions come the end of the afternoon.

None of it! As a neutral I don't care who wins the Premier League nor do I get entertainment from watching it on telly.

I'll probably opt for the Wrexham Athletic match.

At 1545 yesterday afternoon I had planned to watch a recording of yesterday's Harlequins v Gloucester game; at 1645 I had changed my mind.

Will probably vacillate between the Queen's Coronation in Colour on ITV3 and Hobson's Choice on Talking Pictures. Particularly good performance by Charles Laughton in the latter.

I had a David Lean 'phase' some years ago. Someone who had forgotten far more about films than I could ever hope to know tipped me off that Lean's earlier works were more enjoyable than his later, big-budget epics (Lawrence, Zhivago etc). He was right. I enjoyed this film very much. IIRC it also features a young Prunella Scales - but Laughton dominates every scene he's in.

"Come on without, come on within, you won't see nuffing like the mighty............................. They just will not lie down and be beaten ! Expect the same at Wyeside next season.

I'm getting slightly p!ssed off by the Quins announcer playing that intro to the song over the PA system; I keep running outside because I think the ice cream van has arrived.

Hobson's Choice not long finished. Every bit as good as I remember. John Mills excellent in a supporting role, despite the noticeable absence of Pablo Haysham.

Anyway, pound for pound on the intended topic of this thread, the manager of the season in that top football division is Mr Potter of Brighton & Hove Albion.
They finished 9th. 25 years after Turner took us down against them.
Next best that chap at Brentford. Where we won 3-0 when he took us up.

Mind you, when Mr Graham Turner got over the notion that it was a good idea to have his family playing in the team, he still went on to omit that Brighton lad Trevor Wood from that last game, didn't he? because he was a bit conspiracy theory ish.
We had the Flying Pig in goal, instead. He hasn't gone down for that equaliser yet. Cheers, Andy.
