Tonight I will be mostly doing Joy Division covers.
Just done The Killers Shadowplay and Radiohead's Ceremony. Both crackers.
The Smashing Pumpkins Transmission is a bit leftfield but the live version on Youtube is very good.

Sonia's Greatest Hits - Turned Right Up Have you googled her twitter account? Apparently she was having nibbles on 24th October whilst watching the XFactor. Filthy cow. There is a line. You have just driven a coach and horses right through that line. She is one of the greatest singer/songwriters of the past 50 years.

A Night At The Opera, tomorrow being the 40th anniversary of the release of Bo Rap. Really? Wow! I remember buying that...and Killer Queen...I think that came just before Bo Rap?

The Smashing Pumpkins Transmission is a bit leftfield but the live version on Youtube is very good. I can remember having that on a bootleg years ago. I think that was around the time that I started wanting them to STFU.

I watched pointless earlier, and one of the questions referred to beatles albums , ie revolver. just listened to it again for the first time in years. What a great album, perfect harmonies, psychedelia, rock and roll, it's got everything. the word is a classic. Must admit I thought what a load of ***** when they first came out, but on listening many years later when you avoid the commercial girl orientated number ones, they actually did some good stuff. The wife was a fan, and in the good old days when we accidentally downloaded mp3's, I got a few of their songs. One particular collection I've got is the ultimate anthology of their work. Goes under the name " The Long and Winding Road", a 7 CD collection. Not only does it practically go through every song they've ever made, you get a spoken introduction to each song by one of the fab 4 before it is played. So you get to know how each song came along. You also get live recordings of everything they've done, including intros and the venue and screaming girls. And lots more. Well over 7 hours listening So having a listen now..... The Beatles were from the same city as Sonia.
