Are you referring to the bogs by the Merton Stand or the ones the other side of the ME? Those were ammonia city.

That bog and surrounding area had evolved at one point from mould to moss and other rain forest floor greenery.

Did away fans used to get seats back in the day? If so where?

The Cowshed was on the Vincent Greenhous side of the ground.

The old wooden grandstand on the Edgar Street side was never called the Cowshed to the best of my recollection.

It may (or may not) have been nicknamed 'The Ark' or something similar.

Didn’t the old stand on the Edgar St side go to Luctonians?

Hospital Radio live commentaries started in 1965 and were instigated by Hereford lions Club.  In the early days, Roy Williams was the man behind the mike.

I had a spell doing "comms" in the mid/late seventies as part of the Hospital Radio set-up.

First time I can remember away fans in the Len Weston seats was a League Cup game against Pompey early 80s. They brought a huge number for a mid-weeker. From memory this was the time when they went big. Alan Biley? Saying that, this was the time when the “lads” went all seats.
