Following the cracking ES 1968 photo earlier (Hfd Early Closers FC) I thought we could kill some more time with everyones knowledge on how Edgar Street developed over the years, stand by stand. There are going to be plenty of others, but here are couple to get us started (I guess Simon Inglis may be able to help in the Football Ground books).

Think if it like a quiz almost, any under the counter info gratefully received.

Starting With The Len Weston Side

When was the Original Edgar Street side Cowshed stand built?
Were there any other major structures/modifications etc. built on this side?
When was the Cowshed demolished?
When was the chunky short term terracing put there (it would have been there for Newcastle I think?)?
When was the Len Weston Built?
When were the first two vertical aisles added?
When were the next two?
When was the front row taken out and them funny "gate" white steel structures added?
When were the black seats added (2nd hand - Derby County I believe)?
When was the back row torn out?
When was the corner refreshment hut built?
Was the old Hereford United sign on the road ever backlit?
When were the terrace barriers added between the pillars?
When was the centre walkway under the stairs blocked up?
When did away fans first start going on the terracing?
Did away fans used to get seats back in the day? If so where?

Whilst your new thread is undoubtedly good, it really isn't that exciting.

When was the (old Bulmers?) single box built?
When was the VP club built (the start?)?
What of the old cover was kept?
Did they move the pitch when everything swapped over?
When did they extend the stand to the BE? Build the new clubhouse?
When did they put the end screen thingy up at the end BE end?
When did they build the ME extension?
When did they put in the red seats?
When did they do the newer boxes underneath?
When did the clubhouse burn down?
When did they rebuild the changing rooms?

General stuff
When did the various scoreboards come/go?
When were the Floodlights built/changed? 
Stand names?

The Cowshed was on the Vincent Greenhous side of the ground.

The old wooden grandstand on the Edgar Street side was never called the Cowshed to the best of my recollection.

It may (or may not) have been nicknamed 'The Ark' or something similar.

Ah bugger I knew one of them was called the cowshed. So the little one with Yeomans on the roof?

The Ark - good name. I can probably get a few bits/dates out of the the football ground books.

I will put that down to my keyboard having only minutes to live.

I'd guess the demolition of "The Ark" to be 1967/68 to facilitate the widening of ES. The present floodlight pylons would have gone up at the same time.

The Cowshed was certainly there in 1956 when I first started going,

Are you referring to the bogs by the Merton Stand or the ones the other side of the ME? Those were ammonia city.
