Flares? Definitely better pre 1980 Still got a pair from the early seventies. No, they don't fit. Denim jackets - so cool. I had the names of just about every player 1972-73 stitched into mine - even David Icke !

Drums just seem like a manufacturing of an atmosphere to me but whatever

It's a no from Herefordshire Bull too.
Instead of banging on about drums, the club should be totally focussed on getting out of this poxey tin-pot league.

Yes from me.And see if the young lad with the trumpet will play at a few games as well.
Long time since I've been called a young lad but I'll be playing trumpets, don't you worry. Might even offer a bit of bag piping as well.

It wasn't an issue two years ago in the conference and it really shouldn't be now. The drum is small and merely helps to keep the tempo with certain songs.
It's nearly as much of a non story as having to pay 5p for a carrier bag that the news won't shut up about.

Drums? Let's hope they play better than they did at Bardon ! They were awful! Drums will probably put them Off! So its a no from me!

The forum seems split.
Those born before 1980 are tending to fall in the "no drum" group, with those born after the cut off date of forum credibility and properness seeming to favour the tinpot timpani option.
The grumpy old gits have it.

We are where we are. The fact this is even being discussed says it all.

We tried a band a few years back was it pupils from bishops ?? They soon got a short sharp shrift from the many around them unfortunately, if it works fine but the minute it becomes annoying well it could cause more problems than it's worth.

It's a yes from me. And I never thought I'd say that.
Tin hat on time, but....
There may be 1000 fans on the Meadow End but they're bloody quiet for the majority of the time. Half- hearted songs ring out now and again, and if we win a corner in the last quarter of the match (and we're playing towards the ME) then there's a bit of noise, but generally it's quiet, quiet, quiet. Put it this way, the size of the crowd may be intimidating for opposition players, but the noise certainly isn't.
If a drum gets the crowd going then all the better.

YES from me if you don't like it move away from it but let's have a big booming drum not one that sounds like a baby toy!!!

Agree - it's a Yes from me. The ME can sound like a library sometimes so as previously said, no point in having a big crowd with no noise. We will, we will, rock you

As long as it's not over used and it generates a good atmosphere, personally I don't mind. More sound, more songs, more victories simples

The atmosphere hasn't been great, especially during the first half at home. If a drum gets it going a bit then why Not?
