Posters are referred to the guidelines of this forum and in particular posts that may be regarded as libellous.
Libel is not an exact art form. So best observe the following rules of thumb
1. Does the post identify a particular individual either by name or inference (in other words, is it possible to clearly identify a particular person by the content of the post)? 2. Is a comment then made about a particular person that is clearly damaging to their reputation ie "x is a thief". It can be more subtle than that depending on the status of that individual. 3. Is that comment true ( ie can the poster back up their comment and would they be prepared to if the matter were litigated in court). It is not good enough to state a belief that it might be true, express an opinion that it probably is or say that you were told it was true by a mate in the pub
If the answer to 1. is "probably or definitely yes" 2. is "probably or definitely yes" and 3. "not 100%" then unless you have remarkably deep pockets and are prepared to indemnify ProBoards and the Moderating Team of this Board against any consequent damages and legal costs, then don't post it.
A further reminder. If we did receive a complaint about the content of any post on this Board which was regarded as libellous, the Admin Team will be legally obliged to provide the details of the poster who made it.

Nudge. The above still remains a useful guideline.
Otherwise it could get expensive….
