Interesting times. How do you see this playing out, Tim? I haven't got a clue. Saw the Raab interview on the Marr show yesterday and he's gunning for a hard Brexit if he becomes leader of the Tories. Would be great to see another few Tory MPs leave the party, especially if Doris becomes PM. Vote of no confidence and the a GE. Personally, I feel Corbyn probably has to go and Labour absolutely need to nail their mast firmly on the Remain banner. We're all gobsmacked over here that Brexit still has any support. My name isn't Tim! Oh......... 😃

Haha, you managed to sneak in a post before I replied. I should have used the quote function....

No idea, beyond Brexit not happening in the lifetime of this Govt. It’s interesting to see that there appears to be a shift towards populism across Europe which may result in the changes in the EU that many want to see- there’s no doubt that the homogenisation of Europe is anathema (and rightly so) to many. A move back towards National identity and decentralisation may result. Which, ironically, may resolve the whole thing. I don’t believe we’ll leave. Perversely there are signs that our hapless attempts to do so may be the catalyst for changes in our membership that we can all live with.

Do you think we should leave with No Deal? It was curious to see Ann Widdecombe today suggesting in one breath that we just leave no deal, and in the next starting that the Brexit Party should now be involved in the Withdrawal negotiations with the EU. Which wouldn’t happen in a No Deal scenario. She’s a wily old politician given her chuckle when this was pointed out to her. No flies on her.

TBF, it won't be too long before some crackpot suuggests that there is a "politician conversion therapy", whereby politicians of all parties could be made ready to return to the real world.

More grandstanding to the easily led Tory membership. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-49030873Whilst undoubtedly aware that he's telling porkies (again), it's interesting to note the apparent contempt he is showing to those he is expecting to vote him into power. Perhaps he's a secret Corbynite?

Maybe someone could flag it up when Johnson says something that isn’t a lie?

Agreed, the democratic process was abandoned shortly after the Brexit vote-when the result was challenged and the filibustering began.
