At least that will be the end of the most useless PM this country has ever seen. Personally I'd like to see her payback, (with her or her husbands vast funds,) every penny of the cost of her waste of time trips to try and negotiate a deal. Useless. Fecking useless.
And a year of tax-free income for every household earning under 50k combined to compensate for being pi55ed about for 2 years.
Waste. Of. Fecking. Space.

So - did you hear what Jacob just said to Andrew Neil???
"500 out of 650 MPs voted Remain".
There is the paradox: the people who voted them in then proceeded to get the referendum wrong. So who's fault is it, eh?
Actually I hope it happens before all these old feckers who voted for it snuff it. Let them witness their folly.

It also means, playing devils advocate here, that the vast majority of MPs haven't got it in them to negotiate a deal to leave.

You’d think there’d be one person, just one, in the 52% who had the first idea how to achieve such a deal. I’m beginning to suspect that none of the Brexiteers had a clue what they were voting for. Can’t say they weren’t warned.

They do some trivial stuff in parliament. What is on now is like the mixed doubles after the Mens Final at Wimbledon. Barely anyone in the crowd either.

Democracy: Government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.
If the people have the supreme power, how is a group of public servants allowed to override the people's decision?

Hope we end up getting a "People's Vote". That'd sort it.
What could possibly go wrong?

In this case, the EU referendum was an example of 'the people' excercising their own power. MPs had a vote, as did every other eligible member of the state. Parliament's task, as publc servants, was to enact the results of the referendum.
The power is vested in the people. The exception being when Members of Parlaiment decide that they know better.
