I would caution against using the numbers to extrapolate the nation’s feelings on Brexit; a large march in the ‘remain’ dominated capital city, against a small Brexit demo in a Yorkshire seaside resort. This smacks of the kind of arrogance that got us into this shi*tstorm to start with.
I'll risk the whoosh.

It’s always the protestors against something that make the most noise. The other side are generally quite content, having won.

How long has Harrogate been a seaside resort?
Has Global Warming combined with fracking to destroy the North?

From the article you link to. "They (leave voters) do not grasp, nor do they value, the collective peace and security that increased European co-operation has brought. Their myth is that Britain “saved” Europe in 1945 and was repaid with ingratitude." Anyone who sticks two fingers up at those brave British soldiers who gave their lives to save our freedom by dismissing their sacrifice as a myth is beneath contempt. Why do those on the left hate their own country so much?

I'm not good on the North, being a London-centric liberal. Nope, can't even join that club in jest. Liberals never got anything done; too busy ironing their curtains. Radicals are what we need.

Talking of which:
The Conservative Club is now a dress shop. The Liberal Club is a posh offie. And the ex-Labour Club survives off bingo nights and golden wedding parties.

How is the Young Farmers' Club going? I haven't been there since "Oops Upside Your Head" went out of fashion in the early eighties!

poncey bar/restaurant.
Yours pedantically, etc. but that was the Farmers Club. The Young Farmers Club was an entity rather than a venue.

There were only posh people marching today. They're all scared they might be less well off after Brexit. They don't care about anything else. Selfish. I hope they all do have less money when Britain leaves. A fulfilling and carefree existence should be the goal and money can't buy you that. So, people shouldn't really give a Feck about Brexit. Accept the vote and adapt, richer or poorer.

Scarey thought!

Can you let the "clueless politicians" know how it's done then please. Obviously by your post it's incredibly straightforward. If you could ensure that the Good Friday Agreement is respected, that no jobs are lost, that trade deals are in place to replace all those that will cease and the country is united that should be sufficient. Incidentally, taking back control related to borders and laws (not "clueless politicians" because by voting to leave, you and others handed all this to them to sort). (We always have had control of laws and borders so don't let that meaningless soundbite distract you). Those who voted to remain did so with some insight of what an impossible task this was going to be. Those who voted to leave really need to step up and take ownership of the whole thing. You must have known what a complex problem this was going to be, and have had some inkling to go about it. Surely... It is simple leave accept the consequences If jobs are lost so be it but there probably won't As for the good Friday agreement surely both sides in NI and Ireland realise that this peacfull period is better than before And if they don't then that's their problem, don't give in too threats of terrorism, and if that happens again then don't pussy foot about completely destroy both unionist and nationalist terror groups

Little old Hereford took 20,000 to London to watch a pub football match and this posh #@&tshow could only muster a few more from a population of 70 million, and 8 million of them live on the doorstep. The amount of people who actually care is surprisingly low despite the massive media saturation of topic.
Nobody cares, get on with it. No deal, just walk.

Ireland.)

I love how on the BBC there's a quote by some one who said that one steward had told them that there were around 670,000 people there. You know as if he's been like counting them through all by himself as they went by. It really doesn’t matter how many people were there. Three million marched against the war in Iraq. It didn’t do any good at all. Now there’s a thought; suppose we had a “people’s vote” (God, that’s an awful name for it) and we got the same result? What would we do then? Why on earth did Cameron ever agree to this? It was never supposed to be about us, let alone democracy. It was done to sort out a recalcitrant element in his own party. Personally I have no idea what we need to do to sort out this mess. Coastal erosion is a serious problem along the east coast of England. Many would (indeed, should) be alarmed that it has led to Harrogate becoming a seaside resort. The A64 seems to have shortened somewhat since I last drove along it. As an aside, Cameron didn't agree to anything. He concocted a stupid promise to 'hold a referendum' and foisted it upon us, never for one minute imagining that a majority (albeit a small one) would vote leave. As soon as that blew up in his (and our) face, he couldn't wait to feck off. Arrogance personified. Worse even than Blair. For that alone, I and many, many others will never forgive him.
