SaveEdgarStreet HFC Forum General Guidelines and Provisions
The SaveEdgarSteet HFC Forum isn't run by rules, per se. Rather, it is moderated by people who put themselves in the position of making difficult judgement calls.
Most of these Guidelines are geared towards just improving the state of the website through smart tips. Some of these Guidelines are more prohibitive, however, and they function as the basic rules of this forum.
The RULES:-
1. Each poster is ultimately responsible for their own posts. The Administrators and Moderation Team cannot be held responsible for your posts. By using the forum and posting on here you agree to these rules.
2. No trolling. Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to get people riled up. Substance is the key to not being labelled a troll.
3. Attack the message, not the messenger. Criticise ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated. No member is allowed to engage in public personal attacks on any other member.
4. Racial, Ethnic, and/or Gender based insults, slurs, or derisive comments are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Such posts may be removed by the Moderator Team without advance warning
5. All complaints need to be communicated privately using either PM, "Report this Post" feature and/or E-Mail. In the event of this, the offending post will be edited or removed, and the offending party shall receive no more than two (2) private warnings via PM and/or E-Mail, and one final Administration warning. If the behaviour continues, the member will be banned for a week, and upon a repeat incident, banned permanently.
6. No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material will be allowed. Simple rule on this, It will be a Moderator's or the Administrator's judgement only which applies here Their decision is final. Sexually suggestive images will be heavily scrutinised. We would like all our readers to be able to visit the site at work and share with friends without fear of retribution.
7. Do not post links or requests for warez. This is a football themed community site not a bootleg site.
8. Respect the privacy of others. Do not post other's phone numbers, addresses, email addresses or pictures, etc., without their express permission. This includes respecting the anonymity of others whom maybe using a pseudonym as a user ID. Do not reveal a posters name unless you have specific permission to do so.
9. Each SaveEdgarStreet HFC Forum Member may have only one account. Multiple Accounts, once discovered, will lead to ALL accounts being operated in such a way, being banned.
10. Please be considerate in the language you use on the forum, some of our members are younger than others. Swearing is not completely banned, just do not swear unnecessarily, and only use minor words. A filter is in place to safeguard this system. Do not deliberately attempt to circumnavigate the swear word filter. Remember, it is possible minors could be reading the forum!
11. NO SPAMMING. The definition of spam is an irrelevant or advertising post. Any post considered spam will be removed. No commercial-oriented posts unless permission has been received from the Moderator Team or the Administrator, and NO flooding a thread with useless content.
12. Keep your signatures and status sensible.
13. Posters are reminded that they must stay within the law and should be careful not to post anything which may be construed as libellous. If a post is made which is regarded as potentially libellous, the Moderators at their absolute discretion, will edit or remove it completely without prior notice. Posters should be aware that if action were brought by any aggrieved party in relation to any post, then the Administrator could potentially be under a legal duty to disclose the identity of the poster of the offending post including name, e-mail address and IP address of the poster.
Rule of thumb - if you have to consider that the post might be libellous don't post it.
