Do fans care more about the running of the club or the results on the pitch?*

*I remember a time when the internet didn't exist and IMO life was better as people didn't spread sh!t about stuff. But I can see why it's a good thing too.

Again I don't accept the premise of the question. If the club is run well then good decisions will be made and that will improve results on the pitch. If the club isn't run well, by self-servers, and excellent players are ignored, and other daft decisions are made that detract from the match day experience, crowds will diminish, income will shrink and players cannot be paid so attractively, therefore results on the pitch will suffer. It isn't one or the other. The two go hand in hand.

I'd give equal weight to both.

Off field matters have resulted in the supporters of the former Hereford United watching parks football. The biggest single factor in this rapid decline has been the people in charge of the club(s).

Was nobody else paying attention?

I think to 70% of the fans, there interest is purely what happens on the pitch. The others care passionately about how the club is run equally to what they see on the pitch, to ensure the 70% get what they want.

I have been told that when fans dont keep an eye on the boring detail that things can go wrong. It is rumoured that clubs can go under when badly run. Has anyone else heard this ?

That is,for a change,not a rumour!
