Labour. Without a shadow of a doubt. In May 1997 the UK elected a Labour government with Tony Bliar as PM. Two days later Hereford were relegated out of the Football League. Coincidence? I think not.

However, taking our current position into account, this time things can only get better.
PS. F'ck me, was that really 20 years ago?

This Hereford Football Club has just won the championship in both seasons of its existence. Under the Tories.

Labour have pledged to invest in grassroots football, funding to come from the premiership. Haven't heard/seen any such football pledges from the tories... A labour victory would be very good for our Hereford FC youngsters.

Lonsdale and Agombar are archetypical Tories. Even the bit about declining to turn up when the going gets tough.

Hereford United rose to Division 2 under a Labour Government. Under 18 years of Tory rule they floundered in the bottom division, before plummeting out of the league under that nice Mr Hill. Post 1997, they were rejuvenated under Turner and Labour, retaining League 1 status in 2008. The same year Blair went. After that, they consolidated under Brown, before the Cameron era swiftly saw them leave the league again, eventually being taken over by those arch Tories, asset stripping and looking for a quick busk at the expense of the community of Hereford, and eventually being left to die. The hope supplied by Corbyn suggests the SLP should be pissed in record breaking time next season.

A bewildering response, etc.
I'm assuming you chose to ignore the rather clever (IMO) allusion.

Wouldn't it be nice if TV footy sponsorship was all conducted through The FA and for them to distribute the wealth throughout the leagues.

This has turned into some kind of weird pop quiz. Yellow is Coldplay, Dream On is Aerosmith, Yeh, Yeh is Georgie Fame, and Got Politics Coming Out of My Ass is an obscure early Disposable Hatstand cut from their long-since deleted mini LP, Omelette Librarian.
Kudos to ww.

There's one on the way out of Cheltenham, it's got a picture of Alex Chalk along with the Tory slogan "strong and stable" Someone's drawn a massive cock and balls next to it, with an arrow pointing to Chalk from the cock and another from the balls to the slogan. Makes me laugh everytime. I drove past earlier, it's gone missing. A bit like his leader.

I'm no May fan and would be putting the big X against Labour if they had a half decent leader, the youngster are all saying vote labour but they really don't have to much of a clue and are being media lead! I don't understand that at all, Nobby. If you are broadly on board with Labour party policy, why would the leader prevent you voting for it? If Labour get in (IF...) it will be incumbent on the cabinet to deliver on those campaign pledges regardless of the Prime Minister, and for the opposition to - quite rightly - hold them to account if not. I have concerns about Corbyn as a leader, but the Labour manifesto is fair, makes sense econmoically and redresses the balance between haves and have nots that has existed for far too long. The only people who have to fear a Labour government are snout in the trough politicians, tax evaders and the right wing media empires. Good. Feck them. They've had their way for far too long. And I do think you do the younger generation a massive disservice. They question EVERYTHING and are far more politically astute than many people of more advanced years, in my experience. The leader of the party is at the forefront of leading the country, can you imagine it, even a vast number of his own party think he's the wrong person, you could well be right about the younger generation, I just believe they are being media brainwashed. Look at Corbyn appearing at The Libertines, it's purely a game and a few have been sucked in.
