Should we not have a "rules" section for these works of art?

Whilst I agree that Theresa May is making a pig's breakfast of what should have been the easiest election campaign ever, I also feel Corbyn's increasing popularity is a disaster for Labour.
Labour need one of two outcomes; a Corbyn win (which not even the most deluded left wing extremist thinks is likely) or a humiliating defeat involving the loss of >100 seats, which would force Corbyn to stand down so Labour can elect a more credible and moderate leader.
The way it stands it looks like Labour will loose but not as heavily as expected, meaning Corbyn will stay on and so Labour will loose the next election in five years time as well as this one.

I'm with this and a lot of it is to do with our media, the BBC are a disgrace, they have been outed as selecting people who suit their agenda, the show from Cambridge was embarrassing, these stupid circus type debates should be stopped. I'm no May fan and would be putting the big X against Labour if they had a half decent leader, the youngster are all saying vote labour but they really don't have to much of a clue and are being media lead. Corbyn is the type of leader that would prefer to play tiddlywinks with a foe than stand up and go head to head, at least May has got some balls, like her or not this country will be stronger with her as leader than with the weak Lettuce!

May has some balls? The same PM that has been hiding this entire campaign? And has performed a U-turn on her manifesto already because of the poor response it got? If she doesn't have the balls to turn up against the unelectable opposition she cannot be trusted to negotiate on behalf of the UK.* * should point out I don't think much negotiation will be necessary re Brexit - we are hardly in a decent bargaining position!!

This is exactly the weak reply I'd expect from a Lettuce lover. May has been all around the country, just because you sit in front of the tv watching the Billy Smart of debates doesn't mean someone is hiding, I mean....there's more intelligence in an enclose of Shrewsbury fans! Seeing an error and acting in it, U turn or whatever term is far from weak....weak is the likes of the Lettuce voting against every bill to give more powers to act against terrorism, the mans going to be loved by the ones who want to act against us, he will take us to an all time low....I really hope I don't have to say "I told you so"

Lettuce lover.. Small point, he has said he isn't gonna vote for Labour. Sadly any vote not for Tory or Labour is wasted so might as well stay in his Castle then though I think he's trying a bit of that Reverse stuff on us

I don't understand that at all, Nobby. If you are broadly on board with Labour party policy, why would the leader prevent you voting for it? If Labour get in (IF...) it will be incumbent on the cabinet to deliver on those campaign pledges regardless of the Prime Minister, and for the opposition to - quite rightly - hold them to account if not. I have concerns about Corbyn as a leader, but the Labour manifesto is fair, makes sense econmoically and redresses the balance between haves and have nots that has existed for far too long. The only people who have to fear a Labour government are snout in the trough politicians, tax evaders and the right wing media empires. Good. Feck them. They've had their way for far too long. And I do think you do the younger generation a massive disservice. They question EVERYTHING and are far more politically astute than many people of more advanced years, in my experience.

I'm glad you agree that the lower corporation tax is, the more likely we are to attract investment and jobs to the UK but surely that principle goes against the Labour policy of taxing the rich till the pips squeak?

Nick Clegg was firing blanks last night on QT. He argued that the 44% of our EU export trade couldn't be replaced with the 9%, and any increase thereon, from former Commonwealth countries.
a) he wrongly assumes that ALL the existing 44% trade with The EU will be lost and b) we won't be able to increase trade with countries other than former Commonwealth friends.
Can't understand why no-one took issue with his opinions.
There will be a trade agreement of some sort with the EU countries otherwise they won't be able to trade with us.

So let's say we halve the 44% and double the 9%. Have we replaced it?

No idea. Just saying that even if you halve/double Clegg's figures his opinion still stands up. Which is probably why no-one disputed it.
PS. My maths is notoriously sh'te so apologies if I've done a Diane.

Like you, I've no real idea what the percentages will change to but it's pretty sure we won't loose a huge percentage of what we export ATM.
Also, some of the 44% only goes out through places like Rotterdam for onward transmission to countries outside the EU. That ain't gonna stop either.
All IMO of course.

I saw someone do a link to a football section of one of the manifestos (Labour?), but who in your opinion (not aimed at anyone in particular) would be the best party for Hereford FC/the scabby end of football?
EDIT: Have any governments in the past been any good to football?
