Just announced that Rudd's father died on Monday. Even by Tory standards May is totally despicable. Or perhaps not all there. (Literally.) Edited due to realisation of entirely unintentional pun! She wanted to do it. Stop trying to score political points all the time. It only shows you up like all the other hard left Labour types to be the real nasty party.

Corbyn's plan backfired because he made no real hard hitting comments. It was little more than a shouting match at times and no one really came out as a big winner.

So when all is said and done can you jammo in a couple of sentences explain to me why I should vote conservative next week, because I'm still waiting to hear anything in this campaign from them as regards policy. Well other than they aren't labour and may is strong and stable which I think we all know is total bolloxs.

Well other than they aren't labour and may is strong and stable which I think we all know is total bolloxs. Well I think what it comes down to is what you think the reality will be. The Conservatives have a fairly ordinary manifesto but its real. They mean to go through with it whereas Labour has one that is pure fantasy, something that couldn't even be implemented in the way they say it will even in good times. Their last throw of the dice is because they expect to lose. Its simply borrow more tax more over and over. Don't think for a minute that you will not be hit by extra taxes. The Conservatives will do everything possible to increase the threshold for those on the lowest wages and encourage business to thrive at the same time. Corbyn's plan to increase wages to £10 will put people out of work and close businesses down. But also the Brexit negotiations. Theresa May has strong experience of these situations. Corbyn is little more than a back of the room shouter who think he knows it all but in reality would face the biggest shock of his life. Its not just him you're electing though. Its the reject cabinet of people who are 3rd or even 4th choices. Dianne Abbot, John Mcdonnell the two who hate being British and have incited violence against others. Emily Thornberry the woman who hates people hanging England flags out their windows and thinks that its impossible to move food around the world without it going off. You can throw Angela Rayner and Rebecca Bailey in there too. People who should be nowhere near the front benches but are because Labour MP's voted 5 to 1 against their own leader. So I think you should really think pretty dam hard before voting for the Labour party because I know you have no intention of voting Conservative anyway. But the abuse by Corbyn's loyal members has been rife on social media these past 2 months. Abuse even against their own MP's and those who interview Corbyn. I'm opposed to all forms of extremism and this is extremism. It wont be easy in the years ahead. Don't elect some one who thinks that it will be.

If the Labour manifesto is "pure fantasy" and "couldn't even be implemented", why are the Tories chirping about the magic money tree?

This again seems to highlight the fact that May's sole drum she's been banging the entire campaign is "vote for me because I'm not Labour". I wonder if it's possible to make the case for voting Tory without mentioning the opposition...? Nobody seems to have man anger it yet - Teresa May included!

So out of all that, just three sentences actually answered the question. The Conservatives will do everything possible to increase the threshold for those on the lowest wages and encourage business to thrive at the same time. But also the Brexit negotiations. Theresa May has strong experience of these situations.
No mention of the NHS, social care, foreign affairs, immigration, justice, homeland security, electoral reform, etc, etc, etc.
But then I guess that if your "leader" can't be arsed to give proper answers, why should you.

I wonder if it's possible to make the case for voting Tory without mentioning the opposition...? Nobody seems to have man anger it yet - Teresa May included! That's what every party does. All we've heard for about 7 years now is privatising the NHS. You couldn't make up a bigger lie than that. The Conservatives will tax low and spend low but they'll still prioritise the key areas. What they wont do is take a big risk and pretend like this is some small business that can just go bankrupt if things don't go to well. At least the Conservatives will attract investment and richer tax payers rather than scaring them away. People will often claim how terrible Thatcher was yet forget how bad the government before her was. Foreign investors will not stick around in a country where they think all their money will get stripped away from them. They have absolutely no reason to let this happen when there's so many other alternatives.

" Foreign investors will not stick around in a country where they think all their money will get stripped away from them"
So why didn't they all leave when Corporation Tax was 28% or higher?
Edit...Starbucks opened their first UK store in 1998 when Corporation Tax was 31%. If it was attractive to them then, why would it be unattractive for them at, say, 26%?

Would you like me to list the falling rates of personal tax as well?

Would you like me to list the falling rates of personal tax as well? If you're asking the same question I would suggest that they were not all here yet. A lot of Frenchies came over when their personal taxes went through the roof. Have you forgotten what happened in the 1970's under Labour?

Unlike your good self, I can remember 1970. Not sure you should be lecturing me about things that you can only reference after reading up on it

Foreign investors will also not stick around in a country where they are shooting themselves in the foot by walking away from one of the biggest tariff free free trade areas in the world. #justsaying

Leaving the Brexit issue aside, even if Corporation tax is reinstated to a level still below where it was in 2010, where are these flip flopping companies likely to go? The level will still be one of the lowest in Europe.
As will the income tax bands which are only to be increased on those earning over £80000. Calculated at approx £100 per month extra on the tax bill of someone earning over £100,000.
Hardly a figure to cause anyone to up root sticks I would have thought.

When you have some one in power who is anti profit, anti profit and anti growth then people will for sure. What will be the real kick in the teeth for businesses though is the £10 minimum wage. Most will be forced to reduce staff levels or even close. The worrying thing is that there's no limits as to where he may go if things go t1ts up. Corbyn thinks that all money shortages can be solved by borrowing more or taxing the rich. There's no way that his manifesto is costed. At least the Lib Dems came out with a bit of realism with their tax policies in admitting that everyone would need to pay more to pay for pledges.

If only the former Shadow Education Secretary could "educate" herself to speak with a little more polish, rather than furthering the concept of the glottal stop, she might encourage a wider audience to take her seriously.
